Chapter 7: Old Friend

As Sebastian sat in his Biology class tapping his pen trying to focus. Replaying what he had said last night to Scott. Mentally slapping himself, he let his head fall onto the table as Mr. Harris asked for everyone's attention. "Class I'd like to introduce your new classmate, Jason Warren."

'JASON?' Sebastian's head shot up from the table so quickly that he became lightheaded for a moment. His hazel eyes met Jason's green ones. Seeing his well-kept hair with, a strand strategically out of place. They both smiled at each other until Sebastian noticed Scott, Stiles, Jackson, and Danny look back toward him. Covering his smile with his hand, he took deep breaths and looked at the book in front of him, as if no one could see him smile from ear to ear.

"Please sit where there's an available seat," Mr. Harris instructed.

The ladies in the class started to whisper and squeal among themselves as Jason walked toward the back of the class. Coincidentally, Sebastian sat at the back table with an open seat next to him.

"Long time no see," Jason whispered with a smirk as he sat down.

Sebastian stayed quiet but his face said everything. Overjoyed seeing his best friend again, he couldn't wait to get out of class and talk freely. Without saying anything Jason handed him a bracelet with the World Tree. His eyebrows furrowed a bit giving him a confused look. In reply, Jason showed him the one he was wearing.

As Sebastian struggled to put it on, Jason helped him. Earning a few glares from the girls and a prolonged look from the werewolf.

Once the bell rang to dismiss the class. Sebastian in a blur picked everything up into his bag and dragged Jason away from everyone before his newly founded fans would ambush him. Ending up hiding by the lacrosse field he finally took a breath, "Don't think they'll find us here..."

"If you wanted alone time with me. You should have just said so," Jason trapped his friend against the wall. Leaning in closer, resulted in him being punched in the stomach by Sebastian.

"Ha Ha," Sebastian laughed dryly. "So what's the bracelet for?" He asked as Jason was pretending to be severely hurt.

"It's supposed to be proof that you're associated with The Gate Order." Jason stood up straight brushing his hair with his figures, giving him an amused look. Looking into each other's eyes in a moment of silence, they then burst out into laughter. "Let me see your schedule," Sebastian held out his hand as Jason gave him the paper. "Wow!...," he gave a short laugh. "Is it a coincidence that you have the same schedule as me?"

The green-eyed friend trying to act oblivious started to whistle and had a sudden interest in the sky. Playfully slapping his arm Sebastian lifted his brows at him waiting for an answer.

"I don't recall having had anything to do with that, but it is convenient," he let out a sly smile. "What do you say we skip today?"

"What's the catch?"

"We have a lunch date."

"Fine...but you're paying," Sebastian agreed as they walked over to Jason's red Silverado truck. He saw the look Sebastian gave him. He replied, "The Order lent it to us."

Entering the Diner Jason left to use the restroom. While Sebastian had gone to sit in a booth in the back. As he scanned the menu, he could hear faint voices of people entering and leaving. Strangely, he felt as if someone had been staring very intently at him. Looking around he didn't notice anything strange and continued to contemplate what kind of pie he wanted.

Moments later Jason joined him in the booth, "Did you order already?"

"Not yet, I was waiting for you." Sebastian set down the menu covering his face. Seeing as one of the servers with curly hair up to their shoulders and honey-brown eyes, glistening with the light from outside, walked up to their table. "Hi, my name is Mackenzie and I'm going to be your server today. What can I get you started with today?" Sebastian ordered a slice of cherry pie and a coffee, while Jason ordered a vanilla milkshake and a side of fries.
