Love is something to cherish. Love is something to have. But it's essential in life.

Hitch Trailblazer the Sheriff of Maretime Bay. He was just a simple earth pony doing what a sheriff does. He makes sure to keep the peace within Maretime Bay but sometimes fate comes around. A long-time friend of his name Sunny Starscout decided to go on a journey to bring magic back to Equestria.

Hitch however went after her to stop whatever she was doing. He stumbled upon the pegasus city Zephyr Heights. When he finally caught up with Sunny this is where he met Zipp Storm. At first he didn't trust the pegusy or the unicorn. But in time he made friends.

In the woodlands of Bridlewood the mane five completed finding the unicorn crystal. Sunny and Izzy combined the pegasus crystal and the unicorn crystal to have magic again. But nothing happened so No magic came. Sunny went into deep despair and blamed herself for her failure.

Hitch tried to help her but to no avail. So the only thing that she can do is go home. Hitch followed but not before he can say goodbye.

"I guess this is goodbye, friends." Hitch said with sadness.

"Better hurry sheriff." Zipp said not wanting him to leave.

There!! The moment this story begins when two individuals bond grows.

It is the point when two strings float separately and at a distance. Close but not too close.

when Zephyrina Storm herself told him that she had his back when they had to fight off Sprout's machine.

Then later she visits him to get to know the earth pony. In reality for Hitch doesn't mind of course but soon the feeling then changes from time to time.

When the gentle sheriff found sparkys dragon egg. Shes the first to find out. Hitch told her how he feels when somepony is trouble. The conclusion was for her is instinct. She then flirted with him which the sheriff himself didn't notice.

That's when Zipp started to get attached to him. But they are mostly good friends.

But fate will change that. It's now the present the sun shines bright in the beaches of Maretime Bay. As the window beams down at the bright house. The Pegasus Princess yawns. She climbs down her bed. "Good morning computer. Good morning detective goggles and good morning Maretime bay!!" She said running outside the balcony.

Zipp can feel the fresh air is blowing on her. She closes her eyes and embraces the sunlight. She opens her eyes and then a thought came in. She grabbed her goggles and put them on to see a specific pony.

Hitch is just doing his everyday routines. Getting up early in the morning and having Sparky riding his back. "Good morning Dahlia!" Dahlia was finishing up her flower shop.

"Good morning Hitch. Another day to stroll." The Sherriff nodded. "Yep, you said it. Keep up the excellent work!" The sheriff said and just took a stroll.

Zipp then smiled and raised an eyebrow. With that smug look she flew to see him.

The handsome sheriff came in singing again for him to rhyme. "Good morning desk and deputies! It's a good day here again!! In Maretime Bay!! Hey hey!!" The door opened, which made Hitch stop singing.

"Hehe. Still trying to rhyme Hitch?" The sheriff recognize the voice anywhere. "Oh Hey Zipp and yeah still trying to see which works. But is it better than last time?" Zipp smirked and nodded. "Just a little." She said, being honest with him.

"Cool cool. So what's up?" The sheriff said and for him to get to business. "I just wanted to see you. That's all. So how is Sparky? How is it that the sheriff in town is taking care of a little dragon?" The Pegasus princess said.
