Chapter 10: The Truth

The next day, Quaritch was on the beach, Tonowari said "what are you doing here, outsider?" Quaritch said "what am I not allowed to see the mother of my child?" Neytiri came out and said "I thought we killed you demon?" Quaritch laughed and said "Spider saved me." We all looked over and spider said "look I'm sorry, but I wasn't gonna let him die!" Lo'ak said "why the hell would you save him! We trusted you!" Spider said "he is my father." Lo'ak said "I'm gonna kill you!" But before he could lunge, Tsireya held him back. Neytiri said "we don't want you here, so leave!" Quaritch said "fine but are you not gonna tell your family the truth?" I looked at Neytiri and said "what is he talking about?" Quaritch said "should I tell him or do you want to?" Neytiri's eyes filled with tears as she said "Tuk isn't yours. She is quaritch's" I said "so all these years, I've been raising his kid!" Neytiri said "yes." I looked at Tuk then at Quaritch. "I can't believe this! I can't do this." I said as I walked away. Neytiri said "Jake!" Tuk said "I don't want him to be my dad! He a bad man!" Tonowari said "I think it's time you leave." Quaritch left. Neytiri looked at spider and said "look what you did! You did this!" Spider said "at least I didn't knock up my enemy." Neytiri yelled "you don't know what happened! You know nothing! He came onto me!" Lo'ak said "get him out of here." Tonowari said "leave boy!" Spider said "at least you had the guts to tell your husband the truth." He left. Neteyam went to check on me, he came in my hut and said "dad? Are you ok?" I said "what do you think." Neteyam said "sorry. He's gone, so is spider." I said "good, can you leave now?" Neteyam said "yes sir." He left. I heard my hut open, I said "I thought I told you to leave?" I turned to see Neytiri, I said "what?" Neytiri came over to me and put her hand on my shoulder and said "I'm sorry I didn't tell you the truth, I guess I was just scared." I said "scared of what?" Neytiri said "scared of losing you, scared that you would leave me if you found out." I looked at Neytiri and said "I may be angry at you but that doesn't mean I'll leave you, ever! I'll never leave you! I'll always be by your side." Neytiri said "Tuk wants to talk to you." Tuk came in and said "I know your not my biological dad but... you'll always be my dad to me." Tuk came up to me and hugged me, I said "he didn't raise you, I did, so he may be your dad but he left, I'm still here." That night, I said "Neytiri? Why were you so scared to tell me about Tuk?" Neytiri sighed and said "it wasn't consensual with him when I got pregnant with Tuk." I looked at her and held her and said "I'm so sorry, I never should've gotten mad at you, I'm sorry." Neytiri said "can I stay here with you?" I said "yes, yes you can, of course, come here." We got settled on our bed and fell asleep with my arms around her. The next day, Tsireya said "Rosie! Come here!" That was Tsireya and Lo'ak's daughter, Rosie, Rose for short. Rosie said "what, I'm playing." Tsireya said "I know, but you gotta go get ready for supper." Rosie looked at Lo'ak and said "dad." Lo'ak said "listen to your mom, go." Rosie rolled her eyes and left. Tsireya said "wonder where she got her attitude from." Tsireya smirked. Lo'ak said "haha very funny." Neteyam came over and said "hey, have you guys seen mom?" We said "no, I think she's in her hut." Neteyam said "she's not in there." Lo'ak said "maybe she went out with dad?" Neteyam said "no, he's here." Lo'ak said "does he know she's gone?" I came out and said "why are you all looking at me like that?" They said "have you seen mom?" I said "not since this morning." Lo'ak said "so she's been gone all day?" Kiri came over and said "umm someone is here." Neteyam said "oh shit!" Quaritch was here, he said "what?" Lo'ak said "why are you here?" Quaritch said "why not?" Tsireya said "where is she?" Quaritch said "who?" Lo'ak said "don't play dumb dumbass!" Quaritch said "oh you mean your mother? Well, I kidnapped her... again." He smirked. Lo'ak said "WHERE IS SHE!?" Quaritch said "why would I tell you, it would ruin the fun!" He ran into the water and left. Lo'ak said "we have to follow him!" I said "no! It's a trap! He wants us to follow him." Lo'ak said "so what do we do?" I said "he doesn't have her." Quaritch said through my mic "you sure about that?" Neytiri said "come kill him!" I said "where are you!?" Quaritch said "same place I've always been." I said "I'll go get her, you guys stay here." I left. Quaritch said "guess he's coming for you." Neytiri said "maybe he'll finally kill your ass!" Quaritch said "or I'll kill you first." Neytiri hissed at him. I got to where they were. I said "quaritch! Let her go!" Quaritch said "make me!" I grabbed his taser and tased him. I grabbed Neytiri and said "let's go! Leave him!" We jumped in the water. We made it to shore. I said "did he hurt you!?" Neytiri moved her hand, there was a bullet in her stomach. I said "oh shit!" I said "lay down!" Neytiri laid down. I said "go get me the first aid kit!" Lo'ak went and got it and gave it to me. I looked at her stomach and said "No! It went through!" Lo'ak said "what do we do?" I said "keep pressure on it!" I bandaged it, both sides as best I could. I said "that should do something."
