part 26: cheeseburgers

Both of you have taken turns driving for about two days. Honestly, neither of you have the slightest clue where to go.
You see a sign for an exit and you take it. You can't remember when you last ate.
You pull up in front of McDonalds and glance at Peter, who's asleep. You leave the keys in the car and go inside and order two cheeseburgers.
You exit again holding the two means in a bag. When you return to the car, Peter is awake.
He rubs his eyes groggily.
"Got you a cheeseburger." You say, passing him the bag as you close your door. He smiles like a small child would as he takes his burger out of the bag.
You both eat in comfortable silence, but after he finishes his burger, Peter begins to talk.
"So what should the plan be?"
"I don't know."
"Well we neEd to have a plan, somewhere to go. We can't just live this lawless life. You don't deserve it y/n-"
You cut him off by kissing him, which catches him off guard. He holds both sides of your face as he kisses you back hard.
And before you know if you're both in the back seat and you're on top of him. He moves his way down, kissing your neck softly.
"Get rid of this please" you say, tugging at his shirt. He smiles and takes it off, and you do the same. You're lips meet again, and you feel the electricity between you two.
All of a sudden you hear a knock on the drivers side window. You nearly fall off Peter, startled. You both lean over to the window and see a McDonald employee.
"Sir? Sir you can't be parked here-"
"Sorry my bad!" You say, swinging yourself into the drivers seat once again. Peter sits in the passengers seat again, and you put the car into drive. Backing out of the parking spot, you see the grumpy employee standing there with his hands crossed. He looked like a cartoon character and you couldn't help but laugh.
"Y/n, i love you." Peter said. "Thank you for going through the messy and ugly and still being here with me.
"Peter, I'll always be here for you."
