It was the first day of third grade for Y/n and things weren't going so well– she walked into the classroom and started to get laughed at because her socks weren't pairing, she broke her favorite crayon and spilled her chocolate milk. She moved from Daegu, a rural place compared to Seoul, and her accent was different- so naturally, people would make fun of her because she wasn't understood. Everything didn't seem to go too well, and she, at this moment, wanted to go cry in the quiet corner but she would hate to show her classmates how weak she was.

A certain foreign-looking boy stared at her quietly, also seeming like a loner. He had a coloring sheet in front of him, wearing glasses with his uniform tidy. Finding her sitting in the corner, the kid naturally sits down beside her with a small pout on his lips. "What's your name?" he spoke quietly, seemingly awkward to socially interact with anyone.

In her whole time at school today, he was the only person to actually ask what her name was. Y/n looked up at him with small tears in her eyes, "I-I'm Y/n..." she spoke with that very adorable Satoori accent, looking down. For once in a long time, a smile crawls upon her new friend's face as he gently wipes her tears away. "Hey, no crying. I'm Riki.." he mumbled, before taking her hand and standing up.

"Do you wanna play some soccer? I can teach you how to play!!" Riki offered enthusiastically, to which Y/n smiled and nodded, "sure!". Finally, she was able to make a new friend. See, maybe things weren't so bad after all...
