It was already the 21st of December, and Y/n is helping her 5th-grade teacher set up everything they need for the party. (They celebrate Christmas parties earlier because they have a week of school off during Christmas). Her best friend Sunoo comes up to her cheerily with crescent moon eyes and a wide smile, hugging her from behind. "Helloooooo~! Guess who~!" he smirked, before giggling sweetly.

"Sunoo hii!" she saw the time and placed a finger against her chin, "You're early? It's only 8 AM? School starts in an hour?" she questioned, pushing her glasses up. The adorable kid just shrugs and puts his backpack down, "I'ma get that out of the way.." he flipped his hair, "Ummmmmm actually I'm here to tell you that Riki has nothing else in his savings account." he smiled innocently, Y/n looking at him in suspicion. "I swear! I didn't have anything to do with it. I know we're in 5th grade, but Heeseung-Hyung was already telling us about "financial management" or whatever, not that I know what that means" he did some air quotes and rolled his eyes, to which Y/n just laughed.

"Exactly, we're in 5th grade, what could he possibly have spent his money on?". Speaking of, Niki yawns and walks inside the classroom, with his hoodie up and his shirt untucked. "Good morning.." he spoke groggily, dropping his bag on the floor and quickly rushing to Y/n. He may or may not have heard the teacher literally yell at him to tuck his shirt in and remove his hood, but when did he ever listen?

Excited to show her something, Niki takes out a small yellow polaroid camera, smiling ear to ear. "Look! Look! Y/n I got us a polaroid camera!!!". As happy as she was to see that he was happy about this, Y/n looks at him unsatisfied, crossing her arms. "So you spent your money on a polaroid camera?".

"Mhm!!"

"How much did it cost?"

"Uuuuhhhh like probably 80 bucks??"

Y/n wants to facepalm at this, sighing at how innocent her friend was. Seeing the boys– Sunoo, Jungwon, Heeseung, and Jay enter the classroom as well as some other students– she stops rubbing Niki's head and smiles, having an idea. "Why don't we take a picture with the polaroid camera so we can make some use of it?" she looked at Niki who nodded enthusiastically. "Sure!!"

That was the first picture taken on that goddamned yellow polaroid camera.
