Kim Taehyung. The definition of perfect. He would rank first in everything. He was filthy rich. He played the piano like a professional. To top it all off, he was insanely handsome. What more was needed for him to be the heart-throb of Saemyoung University? Boys were jealous of him. Girls drooled for him. Well, most of them did. Most of them except one.
Eunji's fist clenched as she stared at the bulletin board. Not again. Her eyes glared at the letters:
#1 Kim Taehyung
#2 Shin Eunji

.
."Guess you'll have to try again", a unmistakable voice said from behind.
Eunji turned only to see the perfect face of her sworn enemy, Kim Taehyung. He was bending to her height, and their noses almost touched when she turned, causing her to repel backwards against the wall.
"You're in my way", Taehyung said curtly, not even trying to hide the annoyance in his voice.
He stepped closer, crowding Eunji against the wall with his tall frame. His dark eyes narrowed as they met her defiant gaze.
"Why don't you just give up already? You know you can never beat me," Taehyung taunted, his full lips curling into a smirk. "It's pathetic how hard you keep trying."
He reached out to brush a stray lock of hair from her face in a mockery of tenderness. Eunji jerked her head away from his touch.
"Get your hands off me, you arrogant prick," she spat.
Taehyung chuckled coldly. "What's the matter, Eunji? Jealous much?"
He leaned in even closer, his breath hot against her ear. "Face it. You're nothing compared to me. Just give up and admit defeat already."
"I have no intention of giving up, just because I haven't won so far. We'll see next time." Eunji muttered through gritted teeth.
Taehyung scoffed, his eyes glinting with cruel amusement. "Keep telling yourself that, Eunji. Your delusions are getting quite entertaining."
He straightened up and adjusted his jacket, looking every bit the polished, successful man. "I have better things to do than waste my time here with you. Try to keep up, won't you?"
Eunji glared after his retreating back, fists clenched at her sides. How she hated him - his perfect looks, his effortless success, the way he always seemed to be one step ahead.
But she wouldn't let it deter her.
"Oh, we'll see for sure.", He gave a victorious smile and left, while many of the girls following him simply rolled their eyes at Eunji.
With a final dismissive glance, Taehyung turned on his heel and strode away down the hallway, his footsteps echoing confidently.

"Taehyung-ah, congratulations!", a random girl pushed a bouquet of flowers onto Taehyung's cafeteria table. As soon as the girl was out of sight, he tossed it away.
"Wow, you and your nasty attitude.", said Jimin.
If Taehyung himself wasn't impressive enough, his friends, Park Jimin and Jeon Jungkook were just as popular. They were both deep pocketed, and born with a face too perfect to be true. Whatever it may be, the three were pretty much inseparable since childhood.
Taehyung rolled his eyes at Jimin's comment. "What do you want me to do, thank her for the flowers? Please."
He picked up his fork and stabbed into the salad on his plate with more force than necessary. "As if I have time for such trivialities. Unlike some people."
