I turn off my phone, and get up to put on my shoes, a jacket, and a bandana to keep my hair out of my face. I enter the kitchen and say bye to my mom.
"Adiós mamá, voy a ver a Finn. Volveré antes del atardecer." I say to my mom, who is making some kind of food.
"Está bien, envíame un mensaje de texto cuando estés de camino a casa, te amo, Robin." She says with a smile.
"Te amo también mamá, hasta luego." I say in reply before walking out the front door.
Once I shut the door behind me, I begin walking towards Finn's house, which is about a block away, so it will take a few minutes to get there. My phone vibrates in my jean pocket, so I take it out to see a text from Finn.
"My dad's not home, so you can just walk in, I'll be in my room." The text reads.
I smile at the text and put my phone back in my pocket. I'm so excited to see Finn, nothing can explain what I feel when I'm around him. I love him so much, in a friendly way...I think.
I look up to see that I've arrived at Finn's, thankfully it took shorter than usual. I walk up to his front door and turn the knob right. It opens, and I see Gwen on their living room couch.
"Hey Gwen." I say as I take off my shoes.
"Hey Robin, Finns in his room." She says, not looking up from her phone.
I nod and begin walking up to Finn's room. Once I reach his door, I knock two times.
"Come in." I hear a voice say.
I open the door and see Finn on his bed, holding the small white kitten that he talked about in the group chat.
"Hey Rob! This is nuke." He exclaimed happily.
"Hey Finn, can I hold him?" I asked, motioning towards the cat.
He nods and hands me the small cat. I pick him up and hold him in my hands.
"Hes so small that he fits in the palm of my hand, also can't believe that you actually named him nuke." I laughed.
"It's a perfect name." He shrugs while laughing.
"Wanna hear me play some guitar?" He asks me while getting out a black guitar.
"Sure!" I respond excitedly.
"What's your favorite song?" He asks.
"Uhhhh....I would say.... I don't even know...just play whatever." I said to the boy, who was tuning his guitar with a pick in his mouth.
Finn nodded and began playing a song I didn't know, I think it was something by Mac Demarco, I used to listen to his music.
I listened to the song, smiling at the boy. I couldn't stop staring at him, his face was perfect. Everything about him was perfect. It felt weird, but I think I might like him? But he likes Donna. He would never like me anyways.
I look at his window, and I see the sun is almost set.
"Shit, I'm sorry, I promised I would be home before sunset. See you later hermoso!" I said, running down his stairs and out of his house.
