Iris pov

We got to the restaurant and immediately got our seats as well as our drinks and food

Alexander's pov

A knock on my door interrupted me doing my work " come in" "Alexander" John said walking in " what do you need John" I asked looking up from my work

" I think it's time we talk about Jayden and him taking over the empire" he said in a serious tone " what about it. John"

" I think it would be a good idea to send him  to your uncles to learn the real ropes for a few years" John stated " I think it's a good idea but what about iris" I asked

" you can't protect her forever Alexander if she's gonna make it in the Mafia she's gonna have to learn to be strong" he said

" I'll call my uncle" I said dismissing him

I knew this was gonna break iris heart but I had no choice John was right I couldn't have Jayden taking over the empire I built having him no absolutely nothing.

Uncle I said what can I do for you boy he asked you remember my second in commands boy Jayden right I asked yes quite well he said I want him to take over my empire but he knows absolutely nothing I want to send him to you for a few years I stated I'll prepare a room tonight send him tomorrow he hung up

After that phone call I called John to come back upstairs

" his bags are being packed as we speak" John stated waking into my office " John, why do you wanna send him away so bad" I asked

" Alexander, Jayden in my only son I want better for him and I don't want that fuck up fucking up what we built" he said

" I suppose your correct but it's gonna break iris heart" " well Jayden is gonna have to break a few hearts in his time" John said walking out

Iris pov

After we got done eating and talking with our friends we took them home

" we're home" I screamed walking in the door

"Huh my bags are packed I wonder if we're going on another trip" Jayden said moving out of the way so I could see his bags sitting at the bottom of the stairs

"Your going on a trip" his father said walking down the stairs with my dad

" oh shit for how long" Jayden asked looking at my dad for an answer " four years" my dad Said looking down " your going to my uncles to learn how to lead the empire" my father said finally looking up

" what" I said my voice dropping " don't act as if you didn't know this was gonna happen me and you have been talking about it Jayden" his dad said looking at his confused face

" you all new this was gonna happen" I asked. Looked over at Jayden " I hate you for letting me fall for you knowing you were gonna leave" I said

I left that's all I could do they all knew that he was gonna leave and didn't even bother telling me

Once I got to my room I kicked of my heals and headed straight for the shower

I turned it on and immediately got in the water was burning hot but I didn't give a shit I couldn't feel anything

I scrubbed my body so rough that's skin started to come off

Once I was done I got out and went to my closet to put in shorts and an oversized t shirt

While I was walking to my bed I knock came on my door " iris" my dad said peaking in " what" I asked not in the mood to talk to people right know " I know that you don't want this to happen but I've worked my entire life for this empire I can't give it to just anyone" he said sitting on my bed " I know but that doesn't mean it's not hard"
