"Jungkook!"

Jungkook turns around after hearing the familiar voices. He smiles brightly as he makes eye contact with the boys running up to him. "Hey Jimin, Hey Taehyung, it's been a little, hasn't it?"

"Yeah, but we wanted to ask you something," Jimin whispered.

Jungkook threw an arm around each one of them and pulled them close, nodding in encouragement for them to continue.

"We heard a rumor that your going to audition for BigHit," Taehyung starts, looking at Jimin to finish.

"And we wanted to know if it was true because we're going too!" Jimin smiled brightly.

"Well, you guys heard the right information," Jungkook chuckled happily.

"Wow! You're going to be our little ace then," Jimin giggled. As the three enter the cafe, they are joking and laughing together.

As they step into the new area, they boys' eyes wander around the establishment in awe. Drawings are framed along the walls and Hag excitedly points to one of a giant poodle. Taehyung looks at him embarrassed, attempting to direct the boy's attention somewhere else.

Jungkook smiled at them, before letting his own eyes wander. He feels his heart skip a beat when they come upon a drawing that looks incredibly familiar to the one from his past.

It's been 3 years and he can't imagine that it's the same, because he's not sure if that drawing was even real. But he can't shake the similarity of it from his mind. The pencil drawing of eyes, so similar to his, tug on his memories and send him reeling to his past.

That is until he sees a collision about to happen. A collision with his body, might he add. He reached his hands out steadying the girls in front of him, so that she doesn't walk straight into his chest.

Startled, she jumps back from his touch, attention now off the sketch pad in her hand and very clearly on the tall boy in front of her.

"Oh gosh! I'm so so-," holy crap, you have gorgeous eyes," the girl begins unconventionally blurting out her observations.

"What?" Jungkook asked, wide eyes in response to her statement. He hears from behind him, followed by a faded thwack, presume on Taehyung's arm.

Thank you so much, Taehyung.

Jungkook moved his hand to comb through his hair, before nervously giggling. "I always thought I had sort of sad, lonely looking eyes, but thank you,"

"Well I think they are stunning," the girl confesses too suddenly again, hand flying up to her mouth in realization. "I'm going to stop talking now, so that I don't embarrass myself in front of a cute guy,"

Jungkook's smile got even brighter, eyes forming small crescents. He looked down at her name tag. He reads, Mia. He shakes his head before saying, "don't worry, this cute guy doesn't mind,"

The girl nods, smiling shyly before starting to move past him. She stood when she hears his voice again and looked up to his face.

"For what it's worth, I think your eyes are gorgeous and stunning as well," Jungkook says, gazing into her eyes.

And he means it. She had eyes reminiscent of the girl he once saw. Her brown eyes had pain and sadness behind them, but that didn't make hers any less pretty.

And now this stranger. She too possesses lonely eyes.
But he finds them beautiful.

And now, he's learned to love his own as well.
