Chapter 3

Its been about a week later and its Allegras 16th birthday :)

Allegra POV:
"Hey Allegra!" Luz came running downstairs.

"Hey Luz. What's up?" I asked walking in from the kitchen. "How does it feel to be 16?" She excitedly asked.

I jumped onto the couch and sprawled out dramatically "It feels gruesome and angsty!" I yelled very dramaticly

"WEH, your crushing me Aly!" King jumped off the couch and went to find a new spot to sleep. "So I was thinking since your 16 maybe you could finally ask Eda about-" I put my hand on Luz's mouth and sat her down next to me.

"Luz don't get me wrong I totally would but it's a touchy subject for her. Also the fact she told my 8 year old self that she would never tell me, crushing for an 8 year old." I lay back down. Maybe she would tell me this time? I was 16 now, 2 years till I was an adult.

"Ok you two how about we get up and clean up the place a bit. Lily is bringing back my parents and I don't feel like being chastised." My mom came down stairs.

"Woah mom way to use big words." Luz elbowed me and then gave me the look of 'now's the time ask her!'. I don't think I have the guts to do that though. I looked back at Luz and shook my head "Not the time" I whispered.

"Yes Allegra I do know big words. It's mostly from Lilith being so formal though." My mom chuckled then Luz spoke up. No she was going to do it. Before I could do anything Luz did it. "Hey Eda, me and Allegra, mostly Allegra though." Oh my god Luz. I loved this kid she was like a sister to me but really?!?

"Yeah?" My mom turned around and gave us her full devoted attention. "Since Allegra over here is 16 now she well kind of we were wondering-" "no, nope." She said being covering Liz's mouth just like I did a few moments ago.

"You didn't even let me finish Eda." Of course she knew exactly what Luz was going to ask. I had been asking for ages and with Luz here she was always wondering who Eda's past lover was.

"Luz I said no, you literally asked me about it last week." Mom was starting to walk off till Luz got up. "But it's very crucial for her to know!" Luz jumped up to follow Eda.

"Luz stop putting words in my mouth, I already knew her answer so why does it matter." I got up, we didn't argue a lot in this household and I wasn't going to be the reason one was going to start. I walked out of the house Luz was saying something to me but I just cancelled it out. "Allegra come back here, your grandparents are going to be here soon!" Mom yelled to me, I cancelled her out too.

I was in the woods now. I was also crying now, I don't know when I started crying. I found a few fallen logs. I sat down, I was more or less sobbing now. Will I ever know who my other parent is? I've convinced myself I won't so why does it matter. Mom always says no! "UGH, yes you got broken up with but what the hell its been 16 freaking years get over it!" I clenched my fists. I wanted to punch something or someone, I didn't want to punch a tree though because that might actually break my hand.

"UGH!" I slouch down and unclenched my fists. "Hey kid you ok?" I looked up to see Katya, Amber, and Derwin. "Uhm, yeah yeah, I'm fine. What are you guys doing here?" I quickly whipped my tears away and stood up.

"We found out it was your birthday and wanted to say happy birthday but looks like it may need a little more than that." Katya said.

"No, no I'm fine. Thanks though." I was fidgeting with my fingers. "Obviously you aren't you can talk to us if you want?" Amber said.

"Well to be blunt I don't know who my other parent is and my sister adjacent asked my mom about it and she got mad. Its really nothing though, I better get back before I get yelled at for not being there when my aunt and grandparents get here." I said pinching the bridge of my nose.

"Ok, if you need anything just text us." Amber said. "Thanks." I said.

I had now started walking back. I got out of the woods and saw mom sitting outside her leg bouncing up and down. She looked up and spotted me. "Hey, are they here?" I asked my mom.

"Uh no uhm, I just wanted to say real quick one of the reason I haven't told you about your other parent is because they don't know and I wanted to be the one to tell them. Eventually." She said nervously.

"Like eventually with ever happen, I'll be in my room call me when they get here." I walked past my mom, then Luz and King. They were pestering me about if I was ok. When I finally got upstairs I kicked off my shoes and fell into my bed.

Eda POV:
I walked back inside and sat down. "Can you at least tell me I won't tell herrrrrrr." Luz whined.

"Luz, no. Now can you go finish wrapping her present." I said pointing to the table that had Allegras half wrapped present on it.

"Oh yeah sure, come on King." King jumped down from the chest he was laying on and followed Luz.

Should I tell them? It's been too long they would hate me for sure. I should do it if not for me than for Allegra. I pulled out my scroll and went to penstagram. I went to messages, I was going to text Raine but I already had a message from them? I tapped on it to see 'hey can we talk, now please'. Oh Titan, they know. They have to that's the only feasible reason they'd want to talk to me so urgently.

How would they know? Unless they are one of Allegra new older friends. Wait. Allegra had said that her friends were 3 witches closer to her age but there was one that was older than the rest. It couldn't be could it? I finally responded.

"Hey Allegra I need to go out for a bit Ill be home as soon as possible!" I yelled to her.
"what seriously! Be home quick!" She yelled back.
