"I want a fair fight," Boudi demanded.

Loki vanished Gungnir, only for it to appear leaning up against the throne, as two of his favourite daggers appeared in his hands.

"Fine," he replied with a gleam in his eyes as he pointed one of the daggers at Boudi. "If I win... you marry me".

"And if I win?" she asked as she started to walk forward, drawing her sword.

They began to circle each other, sizing one another up, waiting for the first to strike.

"You think you have a chance?" Loki scoffed.

"If you swear not to cheat."

"I swear it, pet."

He just nearly killed me, Boudi thought to herself. But I have nothing to lose.

With that, Boudi swung her sword, swiping at Loki's daggers. She spun her body as she used her weight against his frame, taking him by surprise and causing him to stumble forward.

"And you call me a cheat!?!" Loki huffed out as he turned back to face her. "I wasn't ready".

"Oh, boohoo..." Boudi tilted her head as she smirked at him. "If I win... You tell me the truth about what I saw during the battle and...." She paused before she took a deep breath. "You don't try to stop me when I leave this realm".

Boudi had thought about it. If Loki was now king, she would never find any peace. She couldn't live under his rule. Especially with how he had treated her, she certainly couldn't cope with being on the receiving end of his wrath if she won and didn't marry him. She needed to be able to leave and not look back.

"Deal."

Boudi lashed out, immediately kicking Loki in the stomach and knocking him back against a wall. His daggers dropped out of his hands and spun across the floor.

He landed with a thud against it and slid down it.

"You wouldn't leave pet... You'd miss me too much," Loki goaded her.

Boudi slammed her knee into his chest, pinning him against the wall as she growled down at him, her eyes ablaze with fury.

"You like this...." Loki huffed out, his eyes staring straight back at her.

Loki thought the fire in her eyes was masking something beneath – desire.

Boudi's heart was hammering in her chest. She felt so confused that Loki was making this so easy.

Is he letting me win? She thought.

Boudi leaned down further, pushing her knee onto his sternum and locking eyes with him as she raised her sword to his throat.

"You have no idea what I like, Loki!" she snarled.

"Don't I?" Loki managed to puff out as she applied more pressure to his chest. "You have the same flushed look you had when you walked in on your friend and me... Astrid, isn't it?" he smirked back up at her.

Boudi's mouth dropped open, and her eyes widened at Loki's suggestion that she'd enjoyed the view.

"You couldn't look away then, and you can't look away now," he said smugly, "you can't deny it!" Loki took advantage of her lapse in concentration and slammed his hand straight up to grab hold of Boudi's forehead. His fingers pushed into the front of her hair, clamping down on the roots. He immediately infiltrated her mind, flooding her with the image of her face staring back at him after she walked in on him. The way her eyes widened. The way she pushed her thighs together as she continued to stare back at him. Boudi's sword fell out of her grip and onto the floor.
