DannyI know it sounds selfish, but as I watch Rafe pack his suitcases, leaving his side of our barrack empty--- I couldn't help but to be caught up on the alluring glow of Amelia's ocean blue eyes, and how they sparkled brighter than the most expensive diamonds under the glistening lights above; as we danced in slow harmony, wrapped ever so warmly in one another arms all but twelve hours ago.
Six years had past...
The day I saw her at that medical examination those four weeks ago, my fear ran wild as the thought of all those feelings she once held for me was all of and gone.Yet, in the mere touch of our hands, everything from who we were came vividly back the second her breathtaking eyes stared lovingly into mine the entire time our bodies held one another tightly, spinning around so delicately as if we were afraid one wrong move would break the moment. Those blonde waves of hers cascading all around..
I was drowning in the familiar scent of her hair, God how I have missed this...
Her...
"Danny, are you even listening?" Rafe barks out a question as he stuffs the last of his belongings into a small suit case. Pushing all his weight to close the top so he could zip it.
Nodding my head, though I was clueless as ever to what he had just said. For the sight of his angelic younger notes that silk tight black dress, outlining her curves in a way that made keeping my hands off of her a true battle.
How it put all the other women who were there last night in to the shadows of jealousy. Amelia looked so damn beautiful. I couldn't deny it to myself, her beauty still ruled my mind.
More now than ever before.
Shaking free from my thoughts, though I'd spend forever there if it meant Amelia McCawley would forever be on view.
