In literature, waves represent power and strength.

They are known to carry enough strength to take down even the biggest of ships. Opening their merciless arms, and swallowing the tons of metal to never be seen again, as if it were nothing more than a simple snap between fingers. Or for their powerful impact, so abrupt yet so relentless that it can shatter the mounds of mountains within a rage of furry, all for them to subtle and smooth to their calming nature.

Much like love, waves are nevertheless, resilient when they claim what they want. Going to no height, or depth to persevere their needs.

In many ways, the bond between Danny and I have been nothing short from powerful, never losing its strength over the six years he and I had spent trying to move on from something that has always been made in stone.

Relentless.

As the waves continue to live each day, and every waking moment. Danny and I have been just as the calming water that never ceases to stop kissing the sand of the beaches that surround us.

We had become inseparable.

If we weren't busy on our posts, than you were sure to see the two of us in one another's arms.

Lost in the haze that only love could create. Never caring who saw, or what others were to say or think. It was just the two of us, the way we have spent so long dreaming to be.

"And just like that... Red asked me to be his wife!" Betty squeals as she holds her hand high in the air before Evelyn and I.

The dazzle that ignited from the small diamond danced in the air of the small examining room that we had been cleaning. New shipment of supplies had arrived earlier this morning, and though we hardly ever stay busy in the hospital. The three of us had pushed this duty towards the end of our shift.

Smiling to one one another, Evelyn just swipes a fallen strand of her hair back behind her ear. Dazing off, Betty might have wondered to what. But as Rafe's letters have slowly become nonexistent. I knew just who my raven haired friend was thinking of.

"That is so wonderful, Betty! I'm really happy for the two of you!" I reply while lifting a box of turnquettes to their assigned placement in a storage cabinet nearby. Tossing our young nurse friend a friendly grin before turning to sit next to Evelyn.

Betty just swoons in place as she is mesmerized by her new gift that her lover had gave to her only twenty four hours prior. The sight of her childlike happiness being hard to not catch. A warming fuzz filled my own chest, a mere thought of the day that I too, could show off such news. Though that was just a fever dream, and one I'd never be caught admitting aloud too.
