San: Where were you?
Hanah: I'm at the mall. Why?
Hanah answered the phone.
San: Why didn't you tell me?!
Hanah: You were sleeping.
San: Ugh! Stay there and don't move!
Hanah: If you would've woken up, you wouldn't be in this situation.
San: Oh really? If you didn't make me stay up so late, I wouldn't be here!
Hanah: Just hurry up and get over here!
San: Fine!
San hung up the phone, leaving Hanah sitting inside the mall.
Wooyoung: Did it work?
Hanah: Of course it did.
Yeji: Are you two going to be okay? You did scream at him.
Hanah: Don't worry. Give it a few more seconds.
Just then, her phone rang. It was San.
San: I love you.
Hanah: I love you too.
San hung up.
Yeji: Isn't that kind of toxic?
Hanah: I feel like we both worked things out over these few months.
Hanah moved the wheelchair next to a resting area in the middle of the mall. The patting wasn't the best, but she managed. She waited until she got a signal from Wooyoung that he was running in her direction. Yeji pushed Hanah in front of a haunted house attraction. Yeji left and sat back down at the resting area like nothing had happened.
Hanah prayed for two tickets. The cashier knew what she was doing. Hanah went inisde alone. It was the early morning, so barely anyone was at the mall. She looked at the decorations and was at awe. She was impressed. Her father did fund the project after all. It was made by high school students studying design. She just had to come and see their work.
San ran inisde, the mall looking everywhere for Hanah. That's when he saw the two mischievous friends sitting calmly in the middle of the mall.
San: Where's Hanah!
Wooyoung shrugged while Yeji pointed behind him. He turned, seeing his worst nightmare. The haunted house.
San: Wooyoung, come with me.
Wooyoung: No thanks.
San: Come on, you Yeji?
Yeji: Sorry.
San: Fine, I'll wait here.
Yeji: You're not leaving my girl in there! She's in a wheelchair!
San let out a deep sigh. He knew he needed to go inisde, but his fear was creeping up. The look from the cashier's face said it all. They were laughing at him. San and his ego couldn't handle it. He puffed up his chest and went inside the haunted house.
When the lights disappeared, he couldn't help but jump. After screaming a few times, he saw a familiar wheelchair. It was Hanah's. He got closer, but there was no Hanah.
It was quiet. The light flickered on and off a couple of times. Instead of being afraid of ghosts and jump scares, he was afraid about Hanah's safety. He looked around everywhere, searching for her. Even with the jump scares, he was determined to find her.
From a distance, Hanah saw everything. At first, it was a bit funny, but soon realized it was a horrible prank. She took off the scary mask she had on and gave it to the actor behind her. She thanked the person and left.
