It had been well over an hour that you and Neteyam sat under the rock. You had fallen asleep on his shoulder, and he would soothingly rub his hand against your thigh. It would allow you to stay calm as you slept.
His head rested on yours again; he closed his eyes for a few seconds but decided he'd stay awake in case anything happened. He was also confused on his part, whether he was even allowed to make relationships with the Na'vis here or if he was supposed to suck up to them just for the sanctuary the Metkayina clan provided.
In any case, Lo'ak too was in middle of creating some sort of relationship with Tsireya. So if Neteyam was told anything, that would mean Lo'ak too; would be denied of any kind of relationship with her.

Since it had only been three days, he wasn't wanting to rush too quickly. Where you two were at right now was just fine. Even if you both were touchy right now, maybe it would still pass off as just a 'friend' thing.

As you slept, he'd lower his gaze to your face, lifting his head off yours. Looking at your stripes that were similar to his, yet so different.

Just like you both, similar but so different.

Your breath was steady, meaning you were calm, he wouldn't make any sudden movements in fear you'd wake up.

You'd exhale with small hums, he'd squeeze your thigh lightly every time.

Your time spent together was cut off by the sound of sand crunching under footsteps. Neteyam's head snapping to where it came from, Ao'nung stomping towards you both.
His hand quickly slipped from your thigh to your hip, Ao'nung stood over you both. "What is this?"

"Y/N fell asleep, just being a good friend," Neteyam looked up to face him, Ao'nung looked at you sleeping on his shoulder, then his hand that rested on your hip.
Neteyam lifted it off, putting his arms up as if he was surrendering. You began to wake up, your eyes fluttering open, it was blurry at first. Until your vision began to focus, you being able to make out Neteyam's legs and then a pair of feet just right above.
You opened your eyes fully, sniffling as they trailed from the feet to reach your brothers face. You sat up, groggily. You rubbing your eyes, as you looked at him.

"What is this Y/N?" Ao'nung crossed his arms, you didn't say anything. You stood up from your spot, still half asleep. "Hi." You told him, he scoffed as he watched you put a hand out to Neteyam.

Neteyam took it, pulling himself up. The two of you looking at Ao'nung, but you had no interests in giving him an explanation. You let go of Neteyam's hand when he was up on his feet. You began to walk back to the village, motioning for the two to follow.
Ao'nung dropped his arms beginning to walk by you, he eyed Neteyam, then quietly spoke to you. "What are you doing? You can't do that..with them."

You shook your head, still not responding. Your body was still waking up also, you felt sore so you began to stretch your arms and neck, Neteyam followed right behind the both of you, he also had no intentions of giving Ao'nung an explanation either.

"Fine. Ignore me." Ao'nung swiped his hand at you, looking at his feet while he continued to walk by your side. Neteyam caught up at some point, going to your other side. You smiled at him, your head turning back to look straight ahead.
You already knew that once you'd get home, Ao'nung would start this whole thing. You had wished you were a little more careful like Tsireya was. But it wasn't like you couldn't twist his words to your father, twist the image he had saw.

You were helping Neteyam in the water, you didn't get enough sleep the night before and you accidentally fell asleep on his shoulder. Which if you're being honest, wasn't entirely a lie.

It was an awkward walk back, and you had to admit that. To avoid the situation upcoming when you reached your home, you thought now would be a good time to show Neteyam that place you mentioned before you fell asleep.
