Vengeance

Chapter Seven

I remember it was the day of my little brother's turning two this year. It was also my mother who would be due for our little sister to be born. I was excited that I was getting a little sister and this time I got the chance to name my little sister! I told my mom that her name should be Sora which means sky. Mom liked the name so went with it. But today everyone was everywhere. The theme was power rangers since the twins were actually interested in watching that tv even though they didn't really understand what they were saying that much but they enjoyed it. Heck, they even threw me into working, I had to decorate the backyard with balloons and plates! I felt really bad for Haru, he was forced to help my mom with the cupcakes. The fact she was still pregnant any moment she could lash out and let me tell you something. She's scared when she's pregnant. She even kicked my dad out of the whole house and that was really a cold night. I remember when I woke up in the morning, he was shivering his ass off because he was only in his shorts. Sometimes I truly think my dad deserves those punishments from my mom but I'm too scared to say that to him. He might glare at me and sass back when mom isn't around. After hearing my mother calling my name, I had gotten up from the couch and walked into the kitchen where my mother and Haru were still making cupcakes.

"Yes, Mom?"

"I need your help putting these little ninja swords on the cupcakes. Haru is still helping me make more cupcakes" Asami was too focused on piping cupcakes. As Haru was too busy mixing batter.

I hummed and put little plastic swords into the piped cupcakes. I added sprinkles to the cupcakes that had plastic swords already in them. Minding my business, I started to hum a song. After I was done decorating the cupcakes before I heard quite an upcoming noise. I watched my mother groan in annoyance as she shouted my father's name when I saw him come into the kitchen.

"Yes?"

"Get your sons before I kick ass. Okay dear"

My father was quick to his feet where he went to lecture his twin brothers. I went back to decorating since my mom put out fresh piped cupcakes for me to do. Haru wanted to take a quick break and sighed when my mother rejected him. As my best friend had to go back to force labor work, I quietly slid off from decorating and went looking for some workers that weren't doing anything. After I found two maids, I quickly explained what they needed to do and they obliged. When we arrived in the kitchen, I grabbed Haru's hand and we both exited the kitchen. Haru hugged my arm as he let out a sigh of relief.

"You're a lifesaver Tora!"

"I know, You needed a break."

"I did! I saw that you've been getting all of the easy work!"

"Heh! Could've asked to come and help. We could've been playing games"

"You saved me though! My hero"

Haru slurred the "Hero" part before he kissed my cheek. I tensed up before I felt my cheeks start to burn. Yes, I had a crush on my best friend. Well, I think I do. I mean...he sometimes makes these things where my heart tingles. We quietly entered my room before I closed the door. We both sat on my bed before I grabbed the remote and turned on the tv. We watched tv as Haru was close to me. My cheeks were still burning up, maybe I did like him. I coughed a bit as we just sat there watching tv. I heard a knock at my door before I said a quick "come in." Shinobu came in and he sat on the other side of me. Haru greeted him before I did also.

"When did you come?"

"My father dropped me here. He said, he needed to help your dad with something"
