To understand a person's actions, the first thing you just do is look at all aspects of their life that have led to this very moment that has made you question their actions in the first place.

But no matter what angle you look at this situation, you cannot find a reason for an ex-harbinger to have abducted you through the window you had forgotten to close, how he even got onto the top floor was beyond you.

You sat in a poorly put together cell, clearly rushed and not much thought put into it besides how to keep you locked up. Your vision had been left on the nightstand so there wasn't any way of using it now, all you have left to fiddle with is the clip on Waring Dottore begged you to get.

It was cold and damp, a constant drip was coming through the ceiling and it was slowly driving you mad. When you saw Scaramouche's eyes, you reached for Dottore's hand, but you were near the edge of the bed and couldn't make it in time.

You sat there in the cell, just rethinking everything. If you had just gotten your papers, you would probably be head of your department, living your best life.

Wiping the tears that stung your eyes, you stared at the wall while attempting to drone out the sound of the water dropping. Minutes or hours passed, you didn't know, but you finally hears footsteps.

Sitting up, you continued to star at the wall, but more focused on whatever information you could gather.

As the steps passed, you noticed they treaded lightly and quickly. When they reached your cell, they came to a halt.

"Psst!"

You turned your head, that's not something you expected a Fatui member to yell at you in a hushed tone. That's when it hit you, it wasn't a Fatui member, it was Klee.

She waved to you excitedly, but when she saw you were about to say something, she quickly shushed you by putting her finger to her lips. "Shhh! Klee had to sneak away, so we gotta be quiet so they don't know where she is!"

You nodded, getting up and walking towards her. "Klee that's great, but you should get out of here and go find someone... " You looked down the hallway for anyone coming, Klee shook her head and stuck her hands through the bars." I don't wanna leave without you!"

You're still not used to Klee using proper grammar, it's a learning process. Holding her hand, you put your hands around her smaller one, "I'll be fine, I promise, just go to the nearest person you can find and ask them to bring you to the Shapur Hotel, you'll find Dottore there."

Klee tilted her head to the side," Promise?" Her face got more serious, puffing her chests waiting for your honest response. You stuck your hands through the bars, ruffling with her hair," I promise, now go, the entrance shouldn't be too far away."

Waving to you once more, Klee sprinted off to the way out of the building, or that's what you hoped she would find at the end of the hallway.

You stayed by the bars, resting your head on the wall as the most movement in the hallway was a fly banging into the metal bars and stone walls.

Once again, footsteps approached, this time much more pronounced than the last ones. Looking up, you watched as the Balladeer looked into the empty cells, mind wandering about something.

Reaching your cell, he looked down at you with a soft smile. It wasn't the smile you'd see in a friend though, a smile full of false pity as he looked down at your mortal body. "To think the doctor could care for someone as weak as you..." The harbinger kneeled down, looking as you stared back at him blankly.

"Do you not care?" He looked down the hallway, then back at you, "Or are you simply too weak to do anything else?" When you looked away, The Balladeer knew he had struck gold.
