It was a long and silent day after you all went upstairs. You ended up waking yourself up at two am in the morning, no matter how hard you tried you just couldn't go back to sleep.
With a huff, you climbed out of bed, replacing your body with a couple of pillows so Dottore couldn't feel the difference. It was a miracle he was even in bed at this time, grabbing your vision off of the bedside you pinched the wick and a flame soon ignited.
Pocketing your vision you grabbed the candle and opened the door as slowly as you could, somehow holding your breath the entire time seemed to be working in your favor. Not daring to close the door behind you, the staircase was your next potential fuck-up.
Growing the flame a little brighter, you were just able to make out what step was next on the stairs, better be quick if you didn't want Dottore or Klee to react to the light. Silently cursing to yourself each step you took, the stairs just seemed to be yelling at you with every single creak and crack they made.
Though it felt like years you eventually reached the bottom, now was to find a lingering piece of paper, and you knew your co-worker, he would have those things lying around just about everywhere. Deciding the lab was a good spot, you slid the door open as quietly as you could, closing it behind you before turning on the light.
Blowing out the candle, you set it down on a nearby table and scanned the room, sure enough you found an envelope of the suckers just sitting there. Sticking your hand in there, you immediately yelped and pulled it back. Dottore had taken off your bandages and was going to replace them, but he wasn't planning on you almost dying and didn't pack much medical supplies.
Sucking on the papercut you used the other hand to grab the paper and place it down on the table, carelessly yanking a pen out of a stained coffee, you had a mini heart attack when it began tipping over. Reaching your arm out just before it fell, you definitely weren't going to sleep now.
Chewing on the top of the pen as you thought of what to write, all you knew was who you were writing too. Sighing while pinching the bridge of your nose, you just jotted down whatever came to mind.
You told The Balladeer of you wanting to leave the Fatui with Klee, but everyone else had pretty much left except for Dottore. You told him pretty much everything that happened in the last twenty four hours and ended it off with a classic, "I hope we meet again."
Rereading the note, you decided it was good enough and began scrambling for an envelope. Finally finding some under yet another stack of papers, you opened it up and loaded the letter into it. Dottore had gotten those ones that were already sticky so you didn't need to lick it, he probably thought he would catch cooties or something.
Now was the hard part, unlocking the front door and giving it to one of the guards without them alerting Dottore the next day. Hopefully Dottore brought along the quiet soldiers this time, you couldn't stand the last time the both of you went to go and steak out in a nearby weather city and he brought along some guards who wouldn't shut up.
Luckily you also had a migraine that day and started crying for them to shut up, they weren't much of a problem when Dottore found you crying in your hotel room.
Exiting the office, you relit the candle with your vision and turned off the lights, making your way to the front of the house. It was clear this was the quiet guards this time.
Slowly unlocking and opening the door, you looked between the two guards standing at the front gates and stepped out into the front yard. Leaving the door open just a bit, you began walking towards the guards with a letter in hand.
You tapped his shoulder, he jumped back a bit when he saw you standing there. As he composed himself you waved your hand in the air and apologized, "Could you bring this note to The Balladeer? It's confidential information there." Quickly switching your expression to a serious one, handing him the letter.
