The Next Day
"Wake up Y/N," you heard Cole's soft voice as he pressed some kisses on your head. You slowly opened your eyes to see your boyfriend smiling at you.
"Good morning my short king," you laughed. You always found a way to call him that every day, he acted as if he hated it, but you knew he secretly enjoyed it.
"Good morning," he rolled his eyes, "you gotta get up we have to leave for the train station in an hour," he lifted you off him so he could sit up.
"Do we have to?" you yawned rubbing your eyes. He scooped you up off the couch and threw you onto the bed in your room, hoping the jolt would wake you up.
"Yes, we do Y/N, c'mon." You had gained a little more energy and went to the kitchen for a quick cup of coffee that Cole was already making for you, he knew exactly what you needed, a nice cup of straight black coffee to wake you up. You grabbed your phone off the counter with a text from Chase waiting to be opened. "Can't wait to see you, sis!" Cole looked at you, he loved your smile, it always made him happy no matter what mood he was in, and your smile would always make it positive. After you finished your cup of coffee you rushed off to the bedroom and pulled on the outfit you had laid out the night before. You brushed your teeth and did your hair in the bathroom while Cole was getting dressed. You waited for him on the couch while he brushed his teeth. You had both agreed that you would get breakfast at the train station to save time at your apartment. You and Cole both grabbed your luggage and headed into the Uber that was waiting for you outside to take you to the station. You two grabbed a quick bite to go at Tim's so you could eat it on the train.
After a long train ride, you two finally arrived at your hometown. You and Cole waited for your Dad to arrive. You saw his car pull up and felt nervous, you grabbed Cole's hand quickly,
"Is that your dad," he asked as he saw a man step out of the car and approach you.
"Yup that's him," you mumbled.
"Kiddo," he called out to you. This was the moment, your boyfriend would meet your dad, and the nerves inside you were taking over.
"Hey Dad," you said letting go of Cole's hand. Your dad held his arms out for a hug leaving you no choice but to embrace him. Cole watched standing there grabbing your suitcase before it fell over. You let go of your dad,
"Dad this is Cole," you took your bag from Cole so they could shake hands.
"Mr. L/N or Will works too," Your dad smiled at Cole, this was all going better than you had expected, even if it was your dad's typical smile that he only did just so you would be happy. The effort of the two of them getting to know each other would come later which is where the panic would begin.
"Cole, Cole Caufield sir, it is very nice to finally meet you," Cole said to him. You smiled as you saw Cole get a little shy around your dad. It was funny for you to see Cole like this, you never saw him this serious and quiet. Your dad took the bags from Cole, even though Cole tried to convince him that he could take them to the car. You sat in the front seat with your dad in a mostly silent car ride. The memories started to flow back to your head as you drove through your old neighborhood, nothing had changed since you had left. Your dad pulled into your driveway and grabbed your bags out of the trunk, Cole offered to help, but your dad wouldn't let him and assured him he would be doing no work as a guest at the house. You open the front door to Chase waiting for you in the foyer of your house.
"Chase," you exclaimed running up to your little brother,
"I miss you so much Y/N," he said grabbing you.
