It was supposed to be a simple mission 4 genin and 2 chunin level ninja to fight a group of pirates but when it took almost a hole year for a simple c rank mission the survivor was called in immediately to report to the council as to why this was

Council room
The council was made of of 3 parties the Hokage and his advisors in one the Shinobi Council consisting of the clan heads and the civilian council made of the most influential civilians in the village. Standing befor them is a boy no older then 10 years old with blood red hair and cold blue eyes that made even the Hokage sweat a bit when he looked into them. This boy was wearing a white kimono with black waves on it with a blue obi with swirls on it. He wears old Japanese klogs on his feet and at his wast was A sheathed sword. The sheath was black with pink circles on it. This boy was Naruto Uzumaki and he had just returned from what was supposed to be a "simple C rank mission" which was to protect the land of wano from pirates. While the civilians were glaring at the boy the Hokage finally speaks " Naruto my boy please tell us why the mission took so long and what happened to your teammates?" The old man said in a calm and authoritative voice Naruto spoke up and a serious tone and said "Lord Hokage and steamed council the mission went form c in rank to SS rank from the pirate crew being the beast pirates." He said coldly the clan head were shocked they knew who they were the beast pirates was run by one of the 4 emperors with the titles "King of beasts and Strongest creature alive" One of the clan heads a young woman with markings on her cheeks and a dog at her side, this was Tsume Inuzuka the head of the inuzuka clan who had dog. She asked worriedly if he was ok and asked "Naruto how are you alive if kaido was there and are you really ok?" She asked as if she was a worried mother. While she was a mom naruto was not related to her despite this she greeted him as if he was. Naruto replied " As for your first question I'm fine the second is a long story but to sum it up Kaido is dead." The room went silent to the point you could hear a pond drop and it was only when the Hokage cleared his throat when everyone was brought back to reality " Naruto what happens to your teammates?" The old man questioned sadly having guessed where this would lead. "They are dead sir" was his reply "YOU probably killed them" a civilian murmured quietly however naruto heard it and was mad but kept his cool and took out three scrolls and gave them to the Hokage " one has he few remains of their bodies I was able to retrieve and the second has their final words and the third is from princess Hori kozuke about what happened and a potential alliance." After the report the council was dismissed and left was naruto and the 3rd " Naruto do you know what this says" referring to the second scroll and third scroll "no I do not it states that you killed kaido and deserve a promotion to chunin how do you feel about these words. I'm thankful and honored by their words" You should however I will not be promoting you ok" he spoke sincerely "ok" was the emotionless answer he got "you know I wanted you to graduate with your years group of rookies you however opted to graduate early and threw off my plans so please wait 3 more years." The old man spoke kindly " you trust me right" "no and You lost all respect I had for you" " ok I deserve that but please it's for your own good and hopefully in these next few years I can earn your trust back" the old man said sadly
