DANNY AND DANI PHANTOM: REVENGE OF THE DARK PHANTOMS

Chapter 5: This is the End.

At Fenton Works, most of Team Phantom were working on preparing for Dan and Dana's next attack while Jack and Maddie tend to the Asgardian draugrs and Manfred using the Ghost Zone monitor to track Dan and Dana's movements.

"Anything on Dan and Dana, Manfred?" Danny asked.

"Well, Dan did use the Gem of Infinity, confirming that they are located at their old lair." Manfred said.

"I wonder why he used the gem for?" Dani asked.

"Definitely not good. I think it's best they strike first that way we know what we'll be dealing with, Then we can come up with a plan and then repel it." Danny said.

"I have to agree with Danny. If we were to attack now we might be heading into a massive trap and ambush." Sam said.

"So what do we do?" Tucker asked.

"Unfortunately, we're gonna have to wait." Danny said.

"Say, Your Highness, what would you do in this situation?" Jacob asked.

"Well, I would agree with Danny. We don't know what Dan use the gem for. And with the gem in the wrong hands, you can bet anything will be a disaster. Now I don't agree that we should wait until they strike since I want to avoid civilian casualties, but at the same time, I believe that if the enemy strike first, then you'll eventually figure out their battle tactics and use it against them." Kayla said.

"Geez, this is gonna be tougher than what happen eight years ago." Danny said as he grabs his head in stress.

"Try to get some rest, Danny." Kayla said as she places her hand on Danny's shoulder.

"You're right, Your Highness. It is getting late too." Danny said.

"So, send the others home in the meantime?" Dani asked.

"No, they can sleep here. Not taking any chances." Danny said.

"You and your friends get some rest. I'll be on lookout." Kayla said.

"You sure, Your Highness?" Danny asked.

"Absolutely." Kayla said with a smirk.

After a few minutes, Kayla flies out of Fenton Works to be on lookout for a potential attack from Dan and Dana. As she goes on patrol, she can't help but enjoy the nighttime view of Amity Park from the air. Ever since arriving to Earth and defeating Camila eight months ago, Kayla took the time to explore the world thanks to Danny and Dani and found Earth to be beautiful and interesting. Of all the planets she has visit so far, she finds Earth to be the most intriguing and is amazed by the Humans and their capabilities. Kayla continues to fly until she thought she saw something on the ground. She lands at the street below but found it deserted.

"Thought I saw something." Kayla said to herself.

Suddenly, Kayla felt a chill before her ghost sense went off. Kayla then grabbed the handle to her sword and protracts it. Kayla then noticed a bright object in the sky heading straight towards her. Kayla then flew up into the air before a purple meteor crash at the spot where she was standing. Kayla then landed back at the ground before seeing the crater that the meteor created.

"Alright, whoever ghost is here, reveal yourself." Kayla said.

At that moment, Fright Knight lands a few feet in front of her holding the Soul Shredder.

"Say, you're one of those ghosts that were with Dan and Dana." Kayla said.

"Indeed, Custodi." Fright Knight said.

"How you know my kind's name?" Kayla asked, surprise that Fright Knight knows her kind's name.

"Why, I have met the queen of the Custodi name Hertha, maiden, so I was able to recognized your ecto-signature." Fright Knight said.

Kayla then narrowed her eyes upon realizing who she's confronting.

"So, you must be the so called Fright Knight. Danny and Danielle told me about you, especially how you talk to my sister Hertha on helping the Dark Phantoms and harvesting the Earth." Kayla said.

"So, you are indeed Hertha's sister. My suspicious were correct." Fright Knight said.

"What do you want?" Kayla asked.

"Why a task from my masters and that's to know about you and to eliminate you. Now, prepare to head to a dimension where you'll see your greatest fear.." Fright Knight said.

"Bring it on." Kayla said.

Kayla and Fright Knight charged towards each other before their swords collided with each other. Kayla and Fright Knight were putting up a fierce fight, blocking their sword and trying to overpowered each other.

"You are indeed a tough warrior, maiden, but you have never fought against a warrior like me." Fright Knight said.

"You a warrior? Please, you're a disgraceful and dishonorable warrior. Warriors don't bring terror to innocents." Kayla said before she managed to give Fright Knight a powerful ecto-energy strike, that send him crashing to the ground. "And the name's Princess Kayla and you will address me as Your Highness."

Fright Knight got back up and charges towards Kayla and tried to swipe her with the Soul Shredder. Fright Knight swings his sword many times, but Kayla managed to move out of the way before using her sword to block the Soul Shredder. Fright Knight then fired pink ecto-beams from his eyes, striking Kayla, making he crash into the ground. Fright Knight then jumped up into the air before pointing his sword and flies down to stab Kayla, but she managed to turn intangible and phase into the ground, causing Fright Knight to hit the pavement. Fright Knight looks around Kayla. Kayla then emerge from the ground before firing a purple ecto-ray at Fright Knight, blasting him. However, Fright Knight managed to land back on his feet. Fright Knight then flew towards Kayla, but she jumped into the air and just as Fright Knight was about to overshoot, Kayla managed to grabbed Fright Knight's cape and proceed to spin him around before throwing him violently towards a nearby building, making a hole at the wall. Fright Knight emerge from the hole he created before seeing Kayla standing her ground.

"This battle is over. Accept your defeat while you still can." Kayla said.

"I will never give in. Now prepare to see your worst fear." Fright Knight said.

Fright Knight then flew at top speed towards Kayla and points the Soul Shredder towards her. Kayla however continues to stand her ground as Fright Knight continues to fly towards her. As Fright Knight gets closer, Kayla then starts to use her telepathic powers towards her opponent. Fright Knight once again heard the high pitch sound before he crashes into the ground and grabs his head as he screams in pain. As Kayla uses her telepathy powers against Fright Knight, she grabs the Soul Shredder before she points her sword. The sword's blade then protracted into smaller blades before the sword glowed with powerful ecto-energy. Kayla ends her telepathic attack before she fired a powerful ecto-energy from her sword, striking Fright Knight dead on, causing him to crash to the ground once more in extreme pain. Kayla approached her new enemy before pointing her sword once more.

"Leave Earth now and head back to your masters." Kayla said.

"Very well then, Your Highness, but this is just the beginning." Fright Knight said.

"And I have a message for your masters. You tell them that this isn't the beginning. This is the end for them and it will happen soon when Danny and Danielle beats them once again." Kayla said.

"Very well then." Fright Knight said.

Fright Knight then turned into bats before disappearing, along with the Soul Shredder. Kayla then heads back to Fenton Work to alert Team Phantom on what just happen.
