Kuina and I walked away from the gas station and back to the sidewalk. She kept turning to face me but when I stare back at her, she'll look away. She always did this action when she wanted to say something so bad but wasn't sure if she should.
"Just say what you wanna say.." I sighed.
"Okay so.. How did Niragi survive that fall?? Wasn't he pushed into the fire by Aguni?- Was HE the person following us???? Most importantly- WHAT DID YOU GUYS TALK ABOUT???" She said covering her mouth in shock.
"It was nothing really, he was just pissed." I shrugged.
"That's ALL?" She groaned, seemingly disappointed.
"Is something the matter?"
"Ehh, I just thought he would do the you knowww.. Sooo-" I cut her off with a simple 'no' making her pout and cross her arms.
My thoughts were filled with him now thanks to Kuina. She made me very confused at this point. I didn't know if I felt guilty or not. Niragi hating me to the extent really did bother me a lot but I knew so well that it was my fault in the first place.
Sometimes, we have to let go of things such as relationships, friendships, etc.. Everything did have a limit. But I'm starting to regret what I've done to Niragi. Actually no, I don't regret what I did. Trying to forget about what had happened, I put my hood on as I walked faster.
"Chishiya! Wait for me!" Kuina yelled out as she began to run up to me. We finally met up with Arisu and Usagi, I needed to try and forget about Niragi in order to focus more on my own life.
The four of us walked towards Shibuya Crossing, basically Tokyo's intersection. There was a huge light that appeared on the large screen infront of us. We stared at it for a few minutes until more people started coming from different directions.
"More people?.." Arisu muttered loud enough for the four of us to hear.
"It's the people from the beach!" Kuina exclaimed.
"Ah-! There's people here too." A person said.
"Did you guys come here for a game??" Usagi asked, loud for everyone to hear her.
"Yeah, we saw-" Just as a man was about to speak, a loud gunshot was heard followed by a thud. Everyone watched in horror as the man who was cut off, now lifeless on the ground.
More people started to drop dead, making everyone in the intersection run for their lives. I grabbed Kuina's wrist and pulled her behind a car, hopefully we couldn't be seen. I don't know where Arisu and Usagi went. I looked over at Kuina, she seemed very focused but nervous at the same time.
"Kuina." I tried to get her attention.
"Yeah?"
"Here, take this." I said, giving her a bomb.
"What's this?" She asked as she looked up at me, surprised.
"A good luck charm, I have one for myself too." I smiled at her as she smiled back. Suddenly, we heard noises at the car next to us. Seeing both Arisu and Usagi, we waved at them.
"Who the hell is he?!" Usagi asked, panting, probably from how much she ran. Arisu seemed to be trying his best to catch his breath too.
"My guess is that he's The King of Spades, it seems to be a game. The only problem is there wasn't any rules at all." Arisu said.
"This really is a pain in the ass.." Kuina complained, we all agreed to try and make a run for it. Before we did, we saw a car stopping infront of us. The window from the passenger seat opened revealing Ann, while Tatta on the driver's seat.
"Get in." Ann said, everyone was getting in until it was my turn to get in. A small item suddenly slipped between Kuina and I. I looked closely and immediately realized it was a bomb.
"Shit.. Drive!" I yelled, Kuina yelled back for me but I wasn't able to hear it since the car left immediately. I tried my best to run for my life, if I'm being honest, this was probably one of the only times I used up so much energy.
I finally ran to a safe place, away from the King of Spades. I sat down on the ground as I leaned against a building of what seems to be an apartment. Once I was able to catch my breath, thoughts began to flood into my mind. 'Is Kuina and the rest safe?' 'Is Niragi safe?' 'Was he there when the King of Spades came in?'. These thoughts weren't gonna help me at all, so I figured I should be thinking about a plan to stay away from the King of Spades.
I decided to play another game since I've realized from the games I played in the past that other players can't enter a border of another game. So I got up and decided to walk again, this time, towards the closest game which was 'The Jack of Hearts'.

Once I had arrived, there were about 18 players in the room excluding me. I looked at the table infront and read the sign saying that I needed to put on one of the collars that were placed on the table and wait. I grabbed one and put it on my neck, technically this collar was gonna be an explosive one based on experience.
I put my hood on before looking around once more, taking the appearances of the people around me. There was a few old people, one lady who dolled herself up, a guy in overalls, etc. I checked everyone until my eyes landed on a familiar silhouette. He was leaning against the wall, his hair messy, bandages wrapped everywhere on his body, and his giraffe-printed shirt, wrapped around his head. He still looked as cool as he was back in The Beach. That man was Suguru Niragi.
As I was about to approach him, I stopped myself. The memory of what I had done to him appeared in my mind and now it was too late to fix things. I frowned and went back to the spot I was waiting in, just looking at him hurt.
'It's breaking me.'
