𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐲𝐚'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕:
Standing there, taking in his lovely features. I know it's very unlikely for me to have a crush, especially on someone that I've used and tried to kill.. But what can I do? I'm human too after all. No one spoke, the cold air pierced my skin, the moon glistened. I felt like a teenager who fell hard for their crush.
We gazed at each other for a bit. Until Niragi turned his gaze downward, closing in the distance between us. This felt so unreal, I must've fallen asleep and started dreaming.
"It's cold at night, you should've put on your hood and zipped your jacket." Niragi said, breaking my thoughts as he put my hood over my head then zipping my jacket.
"I thought you were mad at me?" I was very confused, we argued and now he's being nice? What the hell?
"Look, I was being.. A bitch earlier alright? This took me a while to realize you were being sincere and not trying to play me. So.. ugh, I don't want to say this but I'm sorry." Niragi said. He looked away from me, avoiding my gaze. I did the same.
"Oh, is that all?" I asked which made him turn to face me again. Again, I did the same.
"I mean yeah, I just wanted to apologize and try to be friends." My heart immediately sank with the last word he said. I went quiet, he noticed this and tried snapping his fingers in front of my face in order to get my attention. It worked although that meant that I had to say something.
"Just friends?" I asked, he tilted his head and looked at me in confusion.
"Yeah- we both have our differences but we can make a great team.. Plus that's what you wanted right?" He stated. I know I wanted to make amends before but I wasn't satisfied for obvious reasons.
Even if I felt something towards him, I didn't want to show it at all. So I reluctantly agreed to be just friends with him. I didn't want to but what other choice do I have?
"Niragi? You know, I.. think I-" I was cut off by a familiar voice.
"Chishiya?! Where are you???" The feminine voice called out for me. I was lucky to have Kuina looking for me before I said anything more. Niragi and I both turned our heads towards the motel entrance.
The beautiful, braided-brunette came outside the entrance. She looked like she was panicking. At least she was able to stop once she finally laid her eyes on me. She let out a sigh of relief before noticing the taller man beside me. Again, she panicked before speaking.
"I'll leave you two alone.." Kuina was about to leave but before she did, she mouthed the words 'Tell me what happened later!' then finally left.
"You were saying?" Niragi spoke up.
"It's nothing." I smiled slightly.
"Alright, I'll go sleep in a separate room. I'll see you in the morning?"
"Yeah, night."
We said our goodbyes before going to our separate rooms. Kuina greeted me with a smirk, I'm not surprised. I knew this was going to happen anyway since it's Kuina I'm with.
"Sooo???" She asked as she laid on her side. I walked over to the bed and sat on the edge.
"He asked to be friends." I sighed.
"No fucking way." Kuina groaned.
"It's a bad thing, right?"
"Chishiya, you're the smartest person I know yet sometimes I wanna punch your face. YES IT'S A BAD THING!" She yelled. I covered my ears since her voice was so unnecessarily loud.
"Can we just go to sleep? I don't feel like talking and it's gonna be midnight soon." She pouted but still put the blanket over herself.
I got up and went over to the other side of the bed, laying down as I did. I grabbed some of the blanket and placed it on top of me, of course leaving some for Kuina. The memory from earlier came back, I don't think I'm able to get it off my mind. I know I should be thinking about my life and how to defeat the face card games but somehow I couldn't.
The thought of being friendzoned by Niragi hurt. I hate having a crush on someone that would never like me back. Tears began to fall just by the memory itself, unrequited love really does suck huh?
