Long, long ago...
There was an egg. This wasn't unusual. Many eggs were laid by other dragons. Big eggs, small eggs, smooth eggs, ruff eggs, etc. This egg was nothing special. It was... well... an egg. Except, you see, this egg was a very special egg. This tiny egg was laid by a dragon called Olivias. Olivias grew up in a kingdom with her father and his fiance. Olivias was a human and wanted to become a dragon, so she drank a potion which transformed her in three days.
Her husband, Marman, used to have a mother who was ALSO human.
So then not only was this egg a missborn. It was a missborn 2.0: The best kind.
Olivias and Marman loved their egg dearly and couldn't wait until it hatched. Eventually, in late September, it did!
Olivias was snoozing the cave when suddenly she heard cracking coming from the nest beneath her. Her eyes snapped open and she cried, "Marman! Marman!"
Marman rushed inside the cave and they both stared at the tiny dragon emerging from its egg. Eventually, its entire body had squeezed out to reveal a small purple creature with horns on its head and a small blue spike on its tail.
"Oh!" squealed Olivias. "It's a boy!"
"Indeed it is, my dear," said Marman. "What shall his name be?"
Olivias picked up the small dragon and held it close to her chest.
"How about... Tiberius?" she asked. "After all, that was my father's name."
"How about Ancalagon?" suggested Marman. "That was, after all, my father's name."
They eventually settled on Tiberius Ancalagon; Tibergon for short. (Tiber, even shorter.)
Olivias wrapped Tibergon in her wings and began to sing a soft lullaby that Marman had taught her.
