[READER POV]

I don't remember how much time passed, but me and shadow just finished chapter 15. I grabbed my phone to check the time, 11:20 am. I set my phone down and watched as shadow got off the bed and placed the book on my desk again. We looked at each other until he looked away.

I smiled. „ Come on, let's bandage up your injuries." i said and got off the bed. He ‚pfft' and followed me. We walked out of my room and walked downstairs to the kitchen. He jumped on the counter while getting rid of the towels wrapped around his body and his head. I grabbed the first aid kit from underneath the table and set it beside him.

I opened the kit and looked for some alcohol wipes and bandages. I finally found them and placed them down. I looked back at shadow, he was looking at the floor. „Okay, i will check your injuries now." i told him before walking in front of him. He looked up and straightened himself a bit. I carefully looked trough his chest fur for the injuries. The scratches looked like already started to heal, same with the cuts. But where the bullets were, was still bleeding a little.

I grabbed the alcohol wipes and took one wipe out, placing the rest down. I gently wiped the injuries, just to make sure there isn't any dirt to get it infected. I could hear shadow hissing slightly, so i slowed down my movements a little. After i was finished, i grabbed some bandages and wrapped it around his torso. „There, what about your arm and leg?" i asked while staring at his ruby eyes.

He looked at his arm and leg and thought for a moment. „Their fine, im not sure about my quills tho." he said before looking at me. We stared at each other for god knows how long until i looked away. I nodded and grabbed more alcohol wipes. I checked his arm and his leg and they definitely looked better then the injuries in his chest fur.

„Alright, turn around." i said while patting his head again. He growled and moved away from my hand and turned around. „i thought i told you not to pet me." he said , clearly annoyed, maybe a bit frustrated. „Why?" i asked curious. He sighed. „Because." I blinked. „because what?" i asked back, checking his quills. He didn't answer this time, maybe he didn't trust me, well..that would be understandable.

Afterwards none of us talked. After i finished taking care of his quills, i made one final check before packing everything back into the first aid kit and putting it under the table. Shadow turned around and stared around my kitchen. I walked to the living room and got from the snack bowl a snicker bar. I walked back to him and handed it him.

„What is this?" he asked while staring at the candy bar. „i thought you might like a snack." i replied while getting myself a cup, i wanted something to drink. The dark hedgehog hesitantly opened it and took a bite out of it. I watched him eating the candy bar while pouring myself some sprite.

Apparently, he enjoyed it since his face relaxed and he continued to eat it. I smiled softly before taking a sip from my drink.

After shadow finished eating the snickers bar, he turned his head to [name], which was only staring at her phone. He got up and walked beside her to see what she was looking at.
