Harry watched as the rest were sorted. He listened with half an ear as Dumbledore spoke, and finally the food was placed in front of him. Of course, there was no plate for him, the old man had to be difficult, so Harry just sat and waited for the feast to be over. Someone in his house however noticed that he didn't have a plate and called a house elf. Harry smiled at them and put a few things on his plate. Of course then it disappeared and he sighed before shrugging and sitting there. This happened a few more times before the feast was done with, finally though, Harry was able to leave the Great Hall. He walked with the rest of his house down to the dungeons. He entered quietly and went to the back. He started talking to the portrait of Salazar Slytherin in parsletongue. He casually chatted until Snape came in, he started with the speech and Harry listened with his full attention. He might not fully trust the professor, but that was no reason to not be prepared. At the end of the speech he looked over at Harry and said, "Mr. Potter, I have been made aware that you refused to eat during the feast." Harry says nothing, but the older slytherin who tried to help him jumps to his defense anyway, "Sir, it wasn't him refusing. Anytime he tried the plate disappeared. I myself watched as it happened twice." Snape looks at him with a shocked expression and says finally, "Very well. Goodnight everyone."
