The Adoption Scandal

Harry stared at the piece of rubbish in his hands. Everyone else in the school seemed to believe it was news, how dare the old goat try something like this... Harry wouldn't let it stand. His father was up at the head table, as pale as a ghost. It hadn't been the easiest thing to actually keep the adoption under wraps, and now it was being basically overridden... Dumbledore could easily get his way if Harry wasn't careful, perhaps seeing about information would be helpful. He thought perhaps getting rid of his father's dark mark would make it harder for them to be separated. He would check the chamber after breakfast. He had no classes today, at least none he would be missed in, so he could search for solutions for a few hours. He would simply not go to defense or History, he was ahead of those two classes anyway.

Harry smiled at the information he had found, it was in Salazar's private library, and it explained, in detail, how to get rid of a magically binding soul mark, which was essentially what a dark mark was, he would help his father and hopefully it would put an end to the terrifying process of losing his father.

Harry and Severus sat together in Severus's quarters. Harry had explained how they could get rid of the mark and Severus was thinking it over. He would agree, he was trying to figure out how it might affect the adoption case against Harry. He shrugged it off and said, "Go ahead. I know that you are more than capable, if it will help me keep you safe then I'm all for it." Harry smiles widely, before focusing his magic in the mark. "Je vous ordonne de laisser la marque sur la peau de cet homme. Les impuretés sont bannies et la marque nettoyée. Ici, je dis, donc plus qu'il en soit !" The spell being in French worried Harry at first, but it was merely an incantation in a new language, and Harry got it perfect. The mark vanished as of cleaned using a cleaning charm, something  Harry loved. Severus looked down at his arm and smiled at the unblemished state. He hugged his son to him and for the first time in years felt like it would all be okay... that was until they heard a knock on the door.

Harry hadn't seen his dad for a week. The Weasleys had managed to win before it even went to court. Severus was banned from seeing him unless he had class with him, in which case he was still not allowed alone. The Weasleys had yet to get into Harry's funds, not even those dedicated to helping them care for him. Something that frustrated Molly to no end. Of course, Harry wouldn't tell them that it was because he was technically the Lord of all of his houses, and therefore in charge of his finances. He likes living with the Twins, and Percy. Even Ginny was nice enough to be around, but they weren't allowing him to see Draco or Blaise any more. He was living in the same house as Molly and Arther, because he was getting used to them. He would be allowed back to school tomorrow, but they planned to have him resorted. Something he did not agree with, so far though Albus had seemingly won.
