TEN

***Liv's P.O.V.***

When I got downstairs there were 20 or so people inside and out. I went behind the mirror and plugged my laptop into the speakers. I put the playlist on shuffle and left it playing. The first song was Something Big by Shawn Mendes. I walked out of the mirror room and locked it behind me. I turned the strobe and disco lights on and the lounge was lit up in different colors.

I felt my phone vibrate in my dress.

From Sam: Come out by the pool ;)

To Sam: Umm...Ok?

I walked out by the pool and saw Sam standing by the hot tub. I walked over to him and he looked straight at me. "I got you this." He held up a beautiful diamond bracelet.

"Sam that's amazing." He took my hand and slid the bracelet onto my wrist. I felt something poke into my skin. I ignored it as it was most likely just the buckle. We were less than half a meter from each other. He leant in.

"Liv!" I heard Jc call.

"I'm sorry." I pulled away from Sam and walked into the house.

I feel a tap on my shoulder and turn to see Jc. "You call me?" I ask him.

"Yea. I just wanted to tell you that...Tell you that this playlist is legit." He tells me.

"Thanks but really Jc? I know you saw me out there with Sam." He looks down.

"Sorry. I just wanted to tell you that." I lift his chin with my pointer finger.

"It's fine. Want to go outside?" I ask him.

"Yea...Sounds fine." He takes my hand and we walk outside.

Sam wasn't outside anymore; he must've walked inside when I was talking to Jc. "Huh...Sam's gone." Jc read my mind.

"Yea. He must've gone inside." I shrugged. Jc walked over to the stairs leading up to the hot tub and sat on them. He pats the spot next to him. I walked over and sat next to him. He put a hand under my knees and the other hand around my back. He lifts me up and sits me on him. We sat in silence for about 5 minutes when I found myself getting lost in his eyes. It happened so quickly. First I saw black as I closed my eyes to kiss Jc. Then I saw red. Sam was red with anger. It was dark outside and he was on the other side of the pool but I could still see the red in his cheeks. He crushed the can he was holding with one hand. I was numb but I somehow felt Jc slide his arm around my shoulders. I felt hands on my upper arms and my body shaking.

"Liv..! Liv!" Jc was shaking me. I ignored him and walked inside making eye contact with nobody. The music was still booming in my ears. People were moving out of my way as I walked forward to Kian.

"Liv?" Kian looked at me weirdly. "Liv..?"

"Kian! Kian..." Jc came from behind me. The world started to go slow and foggy. "Kian, something's wrong with Liv."

"You think I don't know that?" Kian yelled. Everything was muffled in but I could tell what they were saying perfectly.

"Do something!" Jc yelled.

"I don't know what to do Jc! What happened before?" Kian put his hands on my cheeks and looked over my face.

***Kian's P.O.V.***

I told Liv that I needed to talk to her tomorrow about something. "Do something!" Jc yelled at me.

"I don't know what to do Jc! What happened before?" I put my hands on Liv's cheeks. I could feel her body shaking. Her pupils had dilated so much that her eyes looked black.

"I kissed her. Sam saw and got angry. Then she just got up and walked off." Jc tells me.

"I don't know what to do!" I put my face in my hands. I looked up and saw Jc had gone. I saw him pretty much shoving everyone out the front door.

The room was silent except for the occasional whine from Liv.
