Promise Me Something

TWELVE

***Jc's P.O.V.***

We got into Ricky's Jeep. Ricky and Eboni in the front, Kian and Trevor in the middle and Liv and I in the back. We drove in silence to Taco Bell.

When we arrived I saw Nash and Cam sitting beside the window. We walked inside and sat at an empty table in the far corner of the room. Nash saw us and pointed and before I knew it they were standing next to the table. "Sup ladies?" Cameron teased.

"Hi." Nash muttered looking mostly at us boys and Eboni.

"Hey, can I come sit with you?" Eboni spoke up.

"Sure." Cameron winked and took her hand.

"You want to come to?" Nash asked Trevor, Ricky, Kian and I.

"Yup." Trevor got up and walked with Nash over to a bigger table than the one beside the window.

Liv, Kian, Ricky and I moved to a small table with 4 seats. Liv sat in the middle of Kian and I and Ricky sat on Kian's other side. "What's up?" Ricky asks me.

"Sam...He's not ok." I tell them.

"What do you mean?" Ricky sits up in his seat.

"I went into his room to ask him why he made Liv upset and he pulled a knife out on me and said not to tell anyone." I explain.

"Woah! Are you serious?" Ricky half yelled.

"I wish I wasn't." I tell them.

"I don't know what he's playing at." Kian finally spoke. "Look at this." He took Liv's hand and showed us her wrist.

"Sam gave me a bracelet earlier and it poked me like an injection." She explains. I looked at her wrist and sure enough there was a small spot on her wrist where the bracelet had dug in. The veins on her arm were turning red and spreading out.

"Wait, why's it turning her veins red?" Ricky pointed at her arm.

"Whatever was injected slowly wears away at her flesh causing her veins and muscle to show." Kian's voice cracked on the last word as tears started to flood his eyes.

"Well we've gotta find a way to fix it." I say. "Where's the bracelet now?"

"Gone. It started to disintegrate and wear away." Kian tells me.

"Umm...Jc? I need to speak to you...Alone." Liv puts a hand on my arm. I nod and take her hand; I lead her to the back of Taco Bell.

She holds tightly onto my hand. She just stood there looking at me. I looked to the left at a tall building when there was a tight grip around my chest. I heard sobbing and looked down to see Liv hugging me tightly, crying into me. I wrapped my arms around her and gently stroked her hair. Her sobs filled the quiet warm air. Tonight was quieter than usual which didn't really help the problem at hand.

I pulled Liv away from me enough to look at her eyes. Her beautiful eyes. "Tell my why you're crying." I put my hands on her shoulders.

"B-Because I'm going to die." She sniffed and wiped her nose with her sleeve.

"Don't say that." I tell her.

"Why not?" She muttered.

"Because it's not true."
