Phil stepped off the elevator and into chaos.

"The Director said you aren't to leave," one guard panted, with his baton out.

Phil noted that another one was already knocked out on the ground, and more were flowing in to take her on. Knox's nose was bleeding, and she looked feral-ready to take them all on.

The guard who had spoken went into strike with the baton. Knox held out her arm with the cast to block the blow, cracking the cast, and it fell to the floor. She followed the move through by ducking her head into his shoulder and flipping him over her back. She bounced on the balls of her feet, ready to drop down and snap a punch to the guard's face.

"Stop! Knox, stop! All of you halt!" Phil yelled.

Everyone stopped, but the guard on the ground clutched his baton and sat up, ready to swing. Knox saw it, and lightning-quick punched him in the face and knocked him out. Phil shook his head.

"Guess you don't need a refresher after all," May rushed as she came out of the fire exit at a run with Mack and Daisy right behind her.

My gaze snapped to hers as blood dripped past my chin. My left arm hung limply at my side now.

"Am I cleared to leave, Director?" I managed to growl out as I calmed my breathing to fight past the pain I was in.

Phil looked like he was floundering and didn't know what to say.

"Let's get you cleaned up first, Firecracker," I heard the British accent from behind me.

I peeked over my shoulder to see Hunter and Bobbi joining the crowd.

"I got it," I said and waved my right hand with a flourish and twist. "Inferi."

Flames washed over me and burned away any blood that had covered me. Gasps and curses surrounded me.

"That's a new one, Firecracker," Hunter grinned as he got closer. "You're arm still needs to be looked at, love. Let's get you to medical."

I shook my head hard at him. "I'm good."

"You're not, love. Let Jemma look after you," Hunter spoke softly, his hand coming to caress my cheek. "It won't take but a minute."

I bit down hard on my lip, searching Hunter's face, and all I saw was love and concern. I glanced over at my brother.

"Please, Knox." Phil finally spoke.

"Let's get you there, Knox." Jemma appeared on the other side of Hunter. "That arm needs to be reset."

I gave a slight nod to her. Jemma smiled.

"Need me to carry you?" Hunter offered a smirk on his face.

I snorted. "As if. But thank you."

He winked at me. "Then I'll make sure to have drinks ready for you after."

I let out a sharp laugh. "Be still my heart. You have a keeper here, Bobbi."

Bobbi blushed. "I know."

"Glad she can finally admit it," Hunter chuckled.

"Don't make me regret that," Bobbi chided.

I just shook my head.

"Let's go," Jemma said. "Now, when did you learn magic?"

I smirked. "Considering the company I keep lately, it was a necessity."

"Sounds like a story worth hearing," Jemma smiled as she moved me to the elevator.

I was staring off into space as Jemma sat me down. "Let's get some x-rays first, shall we?" She moved a portable machine over.
