"Gotta get a hold of it, tell me if you're ready, 'cause I'm ready." ~Corbyn Besson, Just Friends
"Guys!" Daniel shouts, running back to us. "Max, Max. It's Max!"
I take a quick step forward, panicking. "What happened?"
Daniel throws his arms around, talking in a jumble of letters. His eyes are already watering, and he keeps wiping them harshly.
"Hey, hey, Daniel, man, stay calm," Jonah grabs Daniel's flying arms. "Tell us clearly so we can hurry over to her, okay?"
Daniel nods. "Uh-huh. Okay. Okay. So. We were talking, right? And then she just whines a bit and I hear a thud. And then she tells me her stomach hurts like before, and then– And then–"
"Daniel, take a breath," Jonah soothes.
"Then she was vomiting. And so sick. And she said she felt horrible and that I need to be there cause she really needs me!" Daniel's in tears now.
"Alright, Daniel? I need you to breathe," I say. "Corbyn." He sits up, looking at me ready. "I'm driving your car, with you and Daniel. Rest of you follow in another car. Corbyn. No. I'm driving. No questions."
Corbyn groaned, tossing his keys to me. "Don't hurt her."
We all rush to the cars, jump in, and I speed through the traffic to Max's apartment. Or try to. There are a lot of cars.
As soon as we arrive, Nix opens the door, and Daniel runs to the washroom. I go to sit on the couch, Corbyn swinging his arm around me.

What if I fell in love with Gray?
~
"What the fuck, ew, that's disturbing. Why did you have to say that?" I scrunch my nose at Gray, who only laughs in reply.
We're walking along the beach after a day with friends. It's chill, and he's been nice these past months. Really nice. He also supports my obsession with Why Don't We, he's even into them now. God, I like him so much.
~
...And falling in love with him ment Why Don't We didn't have problems...
~
A new song plays on his phone, Friends to Lovers by Why Don't We. He grins at me, adjusting the volume on the airpods. Gray grabs my hands, making me face him while he dances.
Can't keep controllin' it when you come around me.
Gotta get a hold of it.
Tell me if you're ready, cause I'm ready.
"Yeah, you know what you're doing when you're walking in that dress. Baby, I can tell that you ain't easily impressed," he sings to me. "I got tunnel vision, think it's time that I confessed if I could just get my arms around you.."
I smeyes at him, singing the next part with him. "Baby, don't you say! That we're just friends, when you know we could be lovers instead. Wanna give you a night you'll never forget, do the things we never did. You're out your head, so out your mind. To think that I would let you pass me by."
We dance our hearts out to the rest of the song, and then collapse on the sand. Gray laughs loudly, pausing the music, before turning to me.
"I wouldn't mind if this moment went on forever," he says.
I nod, but sigh. "Do you ever wonder what it would be like if we never met?"
He sits up, letting me lay on his lap. "Sometimes, but I think we're destined for each other. We'd meet in another universe. I mean... I feel like you're my soulmate, you know?"
