Oh No!

What bothered her most is that she did not know whether to believe what she had heard. Was it true? Was it all a setup? Was she really this meaningless to Kyle? Was their relationship that useless? Was she the problem? Was that just Kyle's character? Was she ever going to trust a man in her life? Was she ever going to find someone as genuine as her? Was Byron just going to be a rebound? Was he just going to be a shoulder to lean on? 

But how could she tell him why she left Kyle for him? Could she really tell him? Could this make him date her out of pity? Would it change anything? Was she ready to heal? Was she ready to trust another man? Was she going to do this for fun? Did she feel like revenging? Was she that heartless? Did Byron deserve it? Was she going to be hurt yet again? Did she really feel the heartache? Was she ready to say yes? Could she possibly say no to Byron? Would she be able to live with the thought of letting her short-term crush go? 

Was she ready to go in blindly? Was she ready to make it work? These are among the many questions which made her rethink her answer to Byron's proposal. She was really at crossroads here. She kept replaying the events of the day she found out that Kyle had cheated on her. The problem was not that he had cheated on her, but whom he had cheated on her with. 

It had been a rather normal day when she decided to out Noah for cheating on her friend Felicia. More than twice, Noah had asked her out and every time she had said no. She had tried to tell Felicia to break up with him but she did not know how. This particular day, Noah had told her of how much fun he had with friends. He happened to mention this while he was drunk and Alyssa decided to tell Felicia about it all. What made Alyssa believe what she heard was that Kyle was the best friend to Noah. At this point, she really believed the saying that, 'Birds of a feather flock together'. 

She believed that if Noah was cheating on Felicia, then there was a very big possibility that Kyle was cheating on her. Even so, she still wanted a reason to believe that her thoughts were true. Now, it is important that you know, other than Noah being friends with Kyle, they also had other friends in their clique. Noah and Kyle were close cousins hence the best friendship. Among the other friends was Blake. The friend group always gave Alyssa chills because they were always together, partying and doing all the crazy stuff teenagers would not be allowed to do. 

Blake had once tried to flirt with Felicia and being the smart girl she was, Felicia coerced him into getting inside information on his boyfriend. Being friends with Felicia also gave Alyssa the privilege of getting to know their secrets. This particular day she actually chose to get information on Kyle. This is because she had for some time felt that Kyle had changed. He was no longer talking to her frequently, he would always fail to pick up her calls, and he would always find excuses to not talk to her. Again, perks of online dating!

"Hey, how've you been?" Alyssa had started the conversation with Felicia.

"I'm great, how about you?"

"I'm good too. How are you doing with Noah?"

Alyssa kept the conversation going and asked Felicia about a lady she had seen Noah with. Felicia said that Noah had told her that the lady's name was Jacinta and that Noah said it was his cousin. Well, what Alyssa had heard was a bit different. Noah was actually cheating on Felicia with Jacinta. Sleeping with her would be the right word here. 

Alyssa did not know how to feel when Felicia said that she knew that already and was trying to break up with Noah. She promised to break up with him in a few days. Alyssa took the moment to request Felicia to find out what Kyle had been up to. This information was to be acquired from Blake. And for sure, Alyssa heard what she thought she'd never hear in her life.

"You would never want to hear what Blake told me," said Felicia.

"Come on, let's get done with this"

"You really aren't ready to hear it. Just move on with your life and leave Kyle."

"Okay, now you're making me anxious. Just say it already."

"Kyle has slept with several girls, but the weirdest of all, yesterday he slept with Noah's house help!"

Alyssa was surely scandalized by what she heard. She could not believe a word Felicia said and so she asked for evidence. Felicia sent her the messages she had been exchanging with Blake and boy!.... she had never felt so disrespected by somebody's son in her life. It is then and there that she swore to end things with Kyle and never listen to any excuse he said. How was she, however, going to tell Kyle that she found out that he had slept with a housemaid? That it was his friend who ratted him? That she would never stay in such a relationship? But she had to. 'How', she had no tiny idea.
