The one?

Sienna had been Byron's best friend for quite some time now. To be specific, about five years now. Sienna was always a great friend to Byron and Byron loved her for always being there for her. He knew he could always count on her because she had always made sure of that at all times. These two were neighbors until Sienna's parents decided to have a change of environment. Well, you know those people who wake up and decide they don't like a place anymore.... this was a perfect definition of it. 

Sienna did not like it at all. She nevertheless, liked the fact that she got to move to different areas and new areas, and improve her travel skills and adventures. She was not sure whether she was adventurous by nature or was it by nature. She liked exploring, was all she knew. When her parents decided to move from Lestledon to Caveyton she thought she'd be happy for a change. That did not turn out as expected. But what could she do anyway? 

She had no place to stay, nor money for food, clothing, or shelter. She was poor. But her parents were not and that's why she had to follow them to Caveyton. Byron hoped and prayed their friendship would not change. He had made her a literal shoulder to cry on and she had always been generous with her shoulder. Byron was really scared of the fact that he had to make new friends. Close friends who would be best friends. He had not thought this would ever happen because Sienna's parents seemed comfortable in Lestedon. 

Sienna was also surprised when they told her that they were going to move but she had always told Byron to expect anything at any time. Sienna's move was rather abrupt, just like Byron's relationship with Alyssa. Maybe Byron was trying to find a way to replace her after all. He did not want to think about it that way, anyway. When he told Sienna of his relationship, Sienna was happy for him but also scared that she would be replaced in no time. 

Byron was kind enough to introduce Alyssa to Sienna and fortunately, they got along so well. What they did not know is that Alyssa was never okay with their friendship. Alyssa always wondered how close they were, she was uncertain about their friendship because Byron always seemed to give Sienna the first priority. Their talks were almost always about his best friend. 

Alyssa was always careful not to mention it since she knew it would stir up. She was well aware that she was the jealous type and she was not going to let that affect their relationship. Alyssa was excited when they planned to go on a date with Byron. She had lied to her parents that she had a doctor's appointment and with that, she went on a date. Her mother suspected something because she seemed... different.

"Why are you all dressed up?"

"Am I?"

"What do you mean, 'am I?'"

Her mother had asked her but left her to go. She was sure to warn her to be home early and by that, she knew Alyssa would not disobey her. She never did. Their meeting happened as planned, but their reception to each other was not close to similar.

Byron's POV

I was finally going to meet her. Can't wait to see her. Is she as beautiful as the pictures she sends me? Is she as funny as she always is in our talks? What is she really like? I'm really confused about everything. I don't know what to do when I see her. I don't know how to behave when I see her. I don't know what to talk about when I see her. I did my research but it was all in vain. All I know is from our chats and what Judy told me about her. It was not really much. All she said was that she is cool, a nice person, and a vibe. What the hell did she mean by that? I needed more details. 

She was a great friend of mine from the short time we had been friends, but now, she was not doing a good job. Now I don't even know what to do or say. What if I embarrass myself? What if I make a fool of myself when I meet her? I really hope that I don't screw up everything. My friends and I have planned a meet up then later I can meet Alyssa. 

What will my friends say of her? Will they like her? It's not like I care but you know, I have kinda known them longer than I've known her. I really hope they like her. Or maybe I can make sure they do not meet then at least I can have one issue to deal with, her. This is all shattered when Lori tells my other friends about my date and they all insist to meet her. 

The day is here and when Alyssa tells me that she has arrived, we are not done with the agenda of the day with my friends. They stand their ground on me being available for the next activity on the agenda despite me telling them that Alyssa has arrived. When I see her, I do not believe what I see. Maybe she is not the one. Pictures did not do her justice. She is as beautiful as...I don't know....so beautiful. 

Honestly, I've never seen anyone as beautiful as I see right now. She is cutely short. Wearing a short pink dress which just makes her look so perfect. She comes closer to hug me and that's when I realize that I had barely moved since I saw her. Her eyes seem to take away my breath. Her lips are perfectly created on her face. The face, a perfect definition of 'sweet face', well-structured. All I can say is, I'm never letting her go. She is the one.
