Chapter 006

Sam's POV:

I may only be 10, but I can tell that no one wants me to bother them. Not right now anyways. How about I play a game with myself? Tim & Barb were looking through stuff and I didn't know what Ell was doing, but something told me not to bother her. Let's see...if everyone were a color. I would be orange! Definitely. That's my favorite color. Barbara would be green, Tim would be...yellow! Billy would be purple. Oh, oh, oh! And Ell would be red! I think that's her favorite color, so hopefully, she'll be pleased with that.

I didn't want to tell anyone the colors I assigned them, I didn't want to make them mad or annoyed as usual. I could already hear what they'd say.

*In head*

"I'm not yellow! I'm more red or black if anything!" Tim would yell.

"Really? Can't you see we're busy?! Jeez!" Barbara would tell me that annoyed, then Billy would chime in.

"Everyone calm down! Sam, stay silent for now..everyone's pretty tense currently."

*Out of vision thing*

I'm sorry. I didn't want to make anyone mad. I almost cried at the thought of it, but then I turned and saw Ell giving me a thumbs up and smiling a little. It's like she read my mind or something. She never did anything like that, she never smiled or gave hugs, so it meant a lot that she was currently for me.

She's the kinda person that would somehow get stuck babysitting a bunch of kids and acting like it didn't bother her, but at the same time, she'd be planning on how to kill them all. It was weird to think of her like that, but that was the kind of vibe she gave off.

Barbara gives off the vibe of "I'm gonna be super dumb and end up being killed first in a horror movie."

While Tim gives off the vibe of "I'm always gonna be the victim, no matter what!" and Billy gives off the vibe of "I don't wanna be here, I don't wanna babysit, I don't know how I got in this situation, but here I am."

I wish everyone could just get along. Ell always argues with her parents and Tim bullies her. Barbara picks on me and Billy's never around anymore. The only one who was ever nice to me was Ell. Tim was also nice to me, but he would scare Ell away and force me to only hang out with him. Then told all his friends that he stood up for me and that he hung out with me, so I wasn't lonely. Tim & Ell were different in giving advice too. If I was getting bullied, Tim would say "tell a teacher or stand up for yourself! Don't be scared to fight back!" and the bullying would only get worse and they'd say "awh, do have to get an adult to protect you?" but if I asked Ell for advice, all she would say is "what's their name? What do they look like? Let me handle it.." Then they would never bother me again.

I don't exactly know what she ever did or said to them, but I was in no rush to find out. Ell was a cool person, Barb was annoying, Billy wasn't around enough, and Tim was a show-off. I loved my family though.  I decided to ask them if they wanted to look through more boxes. They all said yeah, finally something we can agree on.

*Time skip*

Barbara's POV:

By the time we looked through all the boxes we only had an hour left of driving. We decided to talk for the rest of the time and Ell convinced Billy to start driving off-road in the desert. It was a bumpy ride, but we finally came to a door. It was all rusty and looked like someone blew it open. We all got out of the van and walked towards the door. Ell was the first person to enter the door. We weren't slow to follow, Tim pushed everyone out of the way so he could push the button to the elevator. I was 50% sure it wouldn't work, but it did.

When the elevator got lowered, we saw a giant tunnel system. Tim walked towards what looked like a DIY lab area in the middle of the tunnel, mixed with Bill Nye's science lab. Why would Papa hide something like this? I couldn't think much more about it because when I turned back around Ell was walking through another doorway that looked like it blasted open. There were bullet holes all over the place..what the hell happened here?

I sometimes wonder how we all get along without trying to kill each other. Billy just decided to push a button and hope for the best, which caused Ell to give him a death stare. There was this giant machine thing in the middle of the room, it had 'Nina' written on the side of it. Nina? Wtf is even going on anymore?

"Hey, guys! Look what I found!" I looked at Ell & Billy and then we all ran to where Sam was. We saw Tim was already there, looking at stuff. It was a room full of VHS tapes.

The walls were just made up of VHS tapes, that's what it looked like anyways. We looked through them all and only noticed that a few of the tapes were missing. Before anything else could happen, a walkie started blinking/making noise. Tim quickly went over to it saying "I got this, I'll handle it." but before he could say anything, Ell grabbed the walkie. That caused Tim to start trying to fight her over it, but Billy grabbed him.
