I had spent a lot of my time deciding where to take Y/n. Although I know she's not a picky person, I can't help but want it to be the best for her. After a while a finally come up with a location.

It's finally time for our date. I text Y/n to wear casual and comfy clothes. It's not a demand it's a suggestion.

Hunter texted me, suggesting for me to wear casual clothes. I throw on my everyday clothes, and fix up my makeup and hair. I hear a honk coming from outside. My dad is working late again, so I don't have to worry about him knowing. I lock our front door and climb into Hunter's car.
"So where are we going?" I ask anxiously.
"I guess you'll have to find out," he replies nonchalantly. Next he hands me the aux. "Play whatever you want." He smiles.
I take the cord plug it into my phone, and put my playlist on shuffle. After fifteen minutes the car comes to a parking lot outside the local mall. Before I can open my door to get out he stops me, runs to my side of the car, and opens the door for me. We walk inside the mall and he drags me to the animal shelter. When we walk in and see a secretary.
"Oh, hello Hunter. Who's this?" She asks.
"This is Y/n, she's my date," he proudly states.
"Hunter comes in three times a week to volunteer here," she informs me.
"That's wonderful," I say back. Hunter grabs my hand and we walk to the animals.
"Go ahead, they won't bite," he encourages me.
I then start petting all the little puppies.
"They're all so cute,"
"I know. Volunteering has its perks. This is Scout," he says referring to the pup that is licking me. We spent the next couple hours talking about ourselves and music.
"I totally wish I had a dog growing up," I said not thinking anything of it.
"Do you still want one," he asks with a smirk implying he will get me that dog I dreamed of.
"I mean is it ok if the dogs in your car?I'll pay for it, if you could just let them ride home with us," I say taking responsibility.
"Oh, you are waking out of here with a dog tonight no matter what," he says happily.
Even after we stepped out Scout , the dog from before wouldn't stop trying to get my attention. I just had to pick him. After we picked Scout up, we got dog toys, a dog bed, dog food, a leash, and other necessities. Hunter payed even though I tried to stop him multiple times, although he did let me pay for Scout. We both signed the documents as owners. Once we walked outside it was raining, I picked Scout up and practically ran to Hunter's car.
"You have to let me have visiting time with our new child," Hunter joked. I laughed and we started the drive to my house. Once there Hunter helped carry in all the bags inside, and get all of Scout's supplies set up. He left soon after. My dad still wasn't home. This wasn't total abnormal, as he was always working late. As I got ready for bed I couldn't help but think about Hunter. His generosity, kindness, manners, and unselfishness. Scout slept in my bed that night as well.
