~Dave's POV~
The blush on my face didn't go down as I got my luggage from baggage claim, or even when I met Bro outside the airport. This, of course, caused him to be suspicious of my romance life, inducing him to interrogate me the entire car ride back home. Great. Just peachy.
"So, Dave. Who's the lucky guy slash gal slash person that you've got a big ass crush on?" Bro asks me, a small smirk making its way to his face.
"I don't have a crush, Bro."
"Are you sure about that?"
"Yes."
"Are you suuure you're sure?"
"Get the hell out. We are not doing this," I glare at him, knowing fully well that he can sense it. His smirk grows wider as I scoff at him. "Why do you have to be so annoying?"
"Because I'm your brother slash manly figure of the house," he says in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Okay, who the hell says slash in their sentences, I don't know a single person that does that, except you."
"I'm just cool like that, that's why. Now, where were we? Oh, yeah. There's no hiding that you have a crush Dave, I might have spied on you after you got off the plane. Saw you talking to the shortie with dark brown hair," he shrugs off the what the fuck look I give him and continues on his rambling. "He's pretty cute if you ask me, you've done well kid. You took my advice, got to know him- I assume- then gave him your contact info. Ya probably shouldn't have-"
"Bro!" I cut him off, giving him the same look as before. He chuckles at me, and turns in to the apartment complex.
"Just know that I approve of you, tell me if you want some... aloooooone time,~" he wiggles his eyebrows at me, causing me to blush darker than before.
"Oh my GOD! GET OUT OF HERE!"
~Karkat's POV~
"So, what went down in the NYC?" Gamzee asks me as we get into the car, I began to tell him the whole story, including the airplane rides there and back. When I told him about Dave, his usual peaceful expression hardened. We stopped at a stoplight, so he turned to me, more serious than I've ever seen him.
"When you message that motherfucker, tell 'm I'm gonna beat his ass if he hurts you," someone honks at us, so he turns back and continues to drive ahead. In my mind, I couldn't help but go over what he said again, and again.
"What the fuck, Gamzee? Are you really doing this?" I scowl at him, he glances at me, before answering with a dark look on his face.
"I don't want another Terezi to happen. That chick was mean as shit to me, then hurt you, bad. Hated her."
I began to think about Terezi, and everything that had happened between us. I was having trouble keeping the tears back, so I turned to out of the car window. I didn't dare to look at my reflection, but I had a feeling that Gamzee could hear how my breathing suddenly changed; I can't breath any quieter, so I just settle on being as quiet as possible.
We pull up to our shared house, before he could say anything to me, I get out of the car. I grab my bags, ignoring his calls to me, and lock myself in my room, sobbing as silently as I can into my pillow.

Hope you guys liked this chapter, I might not have enough time to post another for a while! My allegory is completed, but I'm having @Kaylaseen edit it for me, because they're a GODDESS of grammar. So, that should be up soon, hopefully!
