~Karkat's POV~

I wake up, crusted tears, snot, and drool on my face.

"What the hell...?" I mumble to myself, groaning as I flip over and sit on the edge of the bed. I must've cried myself to sleep...

I sigh, getting up slowly, my entire body sore. I go into the bathroom and wash my face, mumbling about how disgusting it is the entire time. Not wanting to see Gamzee, I go over to my laptop to busy myself for the day. I spend a while watching random videos on YouTube, but then I remember, I never messaged Dave.

I grab the slip of paper he gave me yesterday and open pesterchum. I put in his handle, a small smile on my face at the thought of how awkward he was giving this to me.

CG: HEY, DAVE. IT'S KARKAT, THE GUY FROM THE PLANE RIDE.

~Dave's POV~

A bing from my phone wakes me up, I reach over to grab it from my bedside table, but it's not there.

What the hell...? Where's my phone? I roll over, hoping to get a good look of the floor. My phone flops off of my stomach, hitting the bedside table, then landing ungracefully to the floor. I groan, rolling myself off the bed to land beside it, cringing as I hit the ground. I open the pesterchum app to see a pesterlog from an unknown chumhandle.

CG: HEY, DAVE. IT'S KARKAT, THE GUY FROM THE PLANE RIDE.

TG: oh hey kitkat

CG: AGAIN WITH THE NICKNAME? WHY THE HELL ARE YOU SO PERSISTENT ON THAT???

CG: YOU'RE LIKE A SMALL CHILD WHO CAN'T PRONOUNCE BROTHER, SO THEY CALL YOU BUBBER, OR SOMETHING.

TG: i just find enjoyment in annoying the shit out of you

TG: its pretty hilarious when you get mad

CG: SHUT THE FUCK UP.

TG: its true though

CG: SHIT, I'VE GOT TO GO, MY ROOMMATE IS KNOCKING ON MY DOOR.

CG: BYE.

I frown, unsatisfied with the short conversation we shared. The whole thing about him leaving because of his roommate got me thinking of all the bad situations that could be going on. I got insanely jealous, not able to push the jealousy down, I grabbed my sword.

"BRO! ROOF. NOW," I yell out, hoping to get some steam let out from a good strife.

~Karkat's POV~

"Yo, brother, sorry 'bout shit from yesterday. Shouldn't've said that stuff, didn't mean to upset ya," Gamzee calls through the door when I don't answer his knocking.

I sit on my bed, wishing for my anger to disappear, I always regret when I get mad at Gamzee. He gets so hurt, it kills me, I always regret everything I said.

"You 'kay?" his voice sounds worried, he knocks once again, a bit frantically this time. "If you don't answer me, I'm gonna come in!"

I sit on my bed, seething anger turning into regret and guilt. I've done this to him before, it didn't end well at all last time. Gamzee opens the door in a panic, eyes flitting around my room until they land on me. I can see small tears building up in his eyes as he rushes to me.

"I-I thought I'd lost you again..." his voice wavers as he hugs me tightly. I can feel tears start to soak my shirt as he shakes, causing tears to start welling up in my eyes.

"No, you didn't. Not today," I whisper, trying to hold back the tears. He pulls back to look me in the eyes, his tear-stained face contorting in pain.

"Please promise me you won't ever..." his voice is strained, sobs racking his body when I look away, tears now flowing freely down my face.

"I-... I can't do that, Gamzee."

Sorry this is so late and so terrible. I bullshitted my way through this, well part of this. School just got out, but that doesn't mean updates will be any easier for me to get in. I'm going to be very busy this summer. Kayla didn't end up having time to edit my allegory, so I'm going to post it after I post this update. If you're interested, go ahead and check it out, maybe try to analyze it and guess the theme? OR even guess the symbols! Go ahead and comment what you think, I always appreciate feedback and I can take requests as well~!
