Alex sat at a booth in the corner of his favorite pizza place. It was late in the afternoon, between the lunch and dinner rushes, and there weren't many patrons. His eyes were focused on one, though. A shorter person with curly brown hair and a tank top that revealed heavily scarred skin stood at the counter, chatting with the owner as they waited for their food.

Why were they still alive? Alex had had full intentions of killing the little D lister when they pulled him out of a fight. Then again when he found the cans of fish in his base. And yet, they couldn't seem to do it. Morgan kept defying his expectations, and Alex found himself completely smitten by the villain.

"Huh..." Alex hummed to himself, a small smile forming as he watched Morgan come over with the food.

"What's that look for?" Morgan asked, setting the boxes down and scooting into the booth.

Alex looked the other over again, thinking for a moment. "I'm just trying to figure you out." He confessed.

Morgan chuckled and moved to take a breadstick. "Yeah? And how is that working out for you?"

"Not well." Alex confessed, tilting their head to the side slightly. "I just can't seem to put you in a box."

"Good. Fuck your boxes. I don't want to fit in some box." Morgan said with a smirk.

Alex blinked in surprise, caught off guard once again by the other. They chuckled after a moment, the glint in those green eyes melting his heart. "Well, don't worry. You won't."

Morgan nodded and moved to the pizza. "I almost got anchovies for shits and giggles, but that seemed overly mean." They said, folding out the cardboard. "So I got your favorite."

Alex paused at the sight and eyed the other for a moment, slowly taking a slice. "How did you know this was my favorite?" He asked.

Morgan smirked, fully addicted to this game at this point. "When I was preparing to break into your base, I hacked into a lot of your stuff, including your phone. I saw you had the app for this place, and I was curious so I checked it out. This order was saved as 'My favorite'." They explained, starting in on a slice. "That's also how I broke in last night. I left myself backdoors in most of your security systems so I could hack on the fly during the heist."

Alex listened, slowly eating as he processed this information. "I still don't understand why you broke in again. You didn't even steal anything. Make it make sense."

Morgan shook their head at the request. "I can't."

"Try." Alex said, really wanting to know the other's reasoning.

"I already told you, I was drunk!" Morgan said, gesturing with the pizza crust. "It was either that or send a 'U up' text to my toxic ass ex. I think I picked the better of the two options, personally."

Alex arched a brow at yet another flippant quip. "You aren't going to take any of this seriously, are you?" He asked, sounding almost defeated.

Morgan just chuckled and shrugged. "No, probably not." They said, taking a bite of their crust.

"Like... are you actually trying to die? Is that it?" Alex asked.

Morgan shook their head. "Of course not. But I get why you might think that." They said. "I generally try quite hard not to die."

"So, are you just not afraid of me then?" The thought irritated Alex a bit, but Morgan just laughed.

"You must think I'm insane." They said. "Of course I'm terrified of you. I would be stupid not to be. But news flash, Alex, you're not much more dangerous to me then a regular human with a knife and a grudge. The only real difference is I have a chance of out running them, whereas if you really wanted me dead, nothing on the planet could stop you. So why run?"
