NICK

White. White was all I could see. It feels like de ja vu. Maybe because I already saw this in the movies. Unconcious people from an accident moved to a hospital or sometimes directly to the heavens. But I'm too bad to be in the heavens so I'm guessing I'm really in my hospital room, adding the coolness around me which is obviously the aircon.

I glance at every corner of the room and proved I really am in the hospital from the ploy Austin gave me. Don't get me wrong. I only knew that jerk's name by Julie. I never had a single interest of knowing who he was and what he was like.

Above that all,I didn't regret beating the guy, considering I still won. Julie was on the couch lay asleep with her earphones as she drools over her phone. Ugh! What a shameful scene. Doesn't she know she's not the only one around here?

As I sit up straight,Julie realizes I've woken up as she wipes up her saliva at the corner of her mouth. Turning to me,she gapes in surprise while I reach out for the bottled water on the side table with a few fruits and a meal.

"Nick!" She says and turns to the
water. "Oh,I'll get it!" Julie grabs the bottle just before I reach it.

I look at her sternly and grab the bottle.

She looks at me playfully. "Aahh...Becoming even sulkier than before because of this." Turning to my situation, she hand gestures at it and raises her brows up and down playfully with a grin.

As I drank from the bottle ignoring her,she breathes deeply and turns her face into a worried one.

"They schemed you,Nick. It was a big bad scheme!" Julie throws her arms in the air. "I told you those guys could never be trusted ever in their lives. I tell you, never." She breathes.

I ignore her remarks as I lay back on the bed and rest myself.

"You shouldn't have gone there. It couldn't even prove a thing. I mean," She starts blabbering about the occurence and those guys, already sounding like a mother. "yes you won but obviously," She looks at me again emphasizing my situation. "you kind of lost at that part." And hand gestured it again.

Is this what it feels like when you have a mother? It feels like I'm supposed to be thankful that I lost her and didn't have to hear her sermons everytime I make a mistake. This girl is starting to sound like one.

Turning to her,I look at her sternly and sulkier.

She breathes. "You really scared me there a bit,you know?" Julie says. "Who would wanna see a one on one battle for greatness and then encounter an accident but couldn't even help?" She comes back to babbling again, which made me more exasperated. "They started dragging me into the car preventing me to help you when you were crawling out of your crashed car with a bleeding head!" Julie started to be hysterical.

I turn away to avoid her pretty little prattles. Doesn't she feel a little exhausted about all that? For just one minute, let her stop!

"Who wouldn't panic when her friend is on danger while she was also in danger." She says. "Wait,I should've just said we were both in great danger."

Make her stop, for Pete's sake! She's like a broken record or some other broken things that keeps going on and on without heaving a breath.

"Seriously,Nick, you almost killed yourself out there!"

"Enough! Just cut it out for goodness sake!" I couldn't take her anymore that I hado to scowl at her all of a sudden, which made her finally stop and bit her lower lip in shame. I breathe. "You really are one big of a mouth, aren't you?"

Turning to the side table,I grab the bottle again and gulped. As I heave, she looks at me like a little girl that broke an expensive vase from the living room, which her mom just bought. It made me snicker in my head, just in my head. I can't show her that I'm smiling,or else she'll think we're already cool but we'll never be cool.
