𝑆 𝑈 𝑆 𝑃 𝐼 𝐶 𝐼 𝑂 𝑁 swirled in Cassie's eyes as she scrutinized the small white specs on the window. Several other small white specs were falling from the cotton clouds and clumped together on the ground. She suspected that they were cold since as the window was as well.

Snow...is this it? Snow?

A knock on the door interrupted her gazing.

She turned her head - keeping her eyes on the window - listening carefully to the knocks. Lately, she had learnt to associate different knocks with the persons whom she had interacted.

If it were someone she had never met, there would be two firm knocks before they rudely opened the door.

Warner would knock lightly, call out to her by her full name and wait for her to open the door, which she would reluctantly do.

And her guard, Kenji - whose name she finally learned - always knocked five times before opening the door. She realized that he was subconsciously spelling his name through the knocks.

"Are you decent? I hope you're decent. I'm turning the doorknob.... I'm opening the door." She heard him say.

Kenji opened the door with a hand over his eyes. One eye peeked through his fingers. He sighed with relief when he saw her standing near the window...decently.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"I'm looking at snow." She innocently replied.

"You've never seen snow before...have you."

Cassie shrugged her shoulders and moved away from the window to sit on the bed. "I don't know, if I did, I don't remember."

"Do you want to remember?"

"I'm not sure." Cassie said beginning to lace up her boots.

Kenji continued to observe her carefully, as he had done the past few weeks. He noted that she would bite her lip when she is hesitating, look around when she feels awkward and scrunch her nose if information doesn't add up or if she thinks someone is suspicious.
