Kaveh's POV

I hated him. I hated him so much. He was just so..... so arrogant. He thought he knew everything just because he read a few fancy books and has a nice title at the Akademiya. He was smug, too smug for his own good. If you asked me, he needed to be knocked down a few pegs. I don't even know why I was living with him, short of there was no other place to go. But each and every time I saw him I looked away. He was infuriating. Yet there was something keeping me. Something keeping me from leaving him, but to be honest I couldn't quite place my finger on it. Maybe if I were smarter like he was I could finally narrow it down, finally understand why I couldn't get myself to leave. But there was no point in ever striving to be smarter than Al Haitham. He was simply so intelligent, even I hated to admit it. The Akademiya's Scribe who thought he knew everything.

Hell, this was the man who finally obtained a Divine Knowledge Capsule and didn't even feel the need to use it on himself. I mean, talk about a different level of arrogance. But even I couldn't place doubt on the fact that he was intelligent. So intelligent, that I was constantly worried he would know my next move. Which in most cases, he did. Today was like any other day. The sun was pouring down on Summer, the rays blistering and sharp as I walked outside for the day. I wasn't needed at the Akademiya for making architecture plans, so I simply stayed home instead and worked on my own plans for my own house. Well, his house. Don't even ask how we became roommates, that's a question too puzzling for even me to understand. But today started out like any other day, with Alhaitham's footsteps echoing up the long spiral staircase to the attic where I resided, clearly angry with a large problem.

"Kaveh! Do you know where my Sunsettia's went?"

He stormed upstairs, his arms crossed and his footsteps making long rapping patterns. I let out a long sigh, and threw the blueprints I had been working on. Of course he was here to disturb me.

"Well good morning to you, Alhaitham. I usually take my coffee black, thanks for asking."

I snapped, grabbing my wooden pencil and returned to drawing the outline on my blueprints.

"It most certainly is NOT a good morning!"

He snapped, slamming his hand down between the blueprints I had on the table. I let out another sigh. Now he was destroying my work. I might as well humor him, I knew he wouldn't stop until he got what he wanted. I threw my pencil down at my desk and looked up at him, a piece of my blonde hair floating between my eyes. He was wearing his usual Akademiya uniform, a little showy if you ask me. It highlighted his muscles perfectly, and it was accompanied with the terminal he had in his ear. Gods know what that thing does.

"Sensettia's. What did you do with them?"

"Oh, you mean the little orange fruits you had growing in the gardens?"

"Yes. Those were Sunsetia's!"

"Oh, yeah well they looked tasty. I simply popped a few in my mouth last night and couldn't stop eating them. They were simply wonderful. Such a unique and exotic flavor that Sumeru doesn't quite have."

I smiled at him, running my hand through my long blonde hair. I had scoured the kitchen for anything to eat, but everything was so boring. And then I walked into the garden and found perfect orange fruits that looked so different. They were amazing.

"How dare YOU!"

He snapped, placing a hand on his forehead as he walked away from my desk.

"Those were not for eating! I took some seeds from Mondstadt to grow here and study, not to eat! You ate every single one in my garden, there isn't even enough of anything left to replant them!"
