Author's Note: I read all your comments on the last chapter and I got some well deserved hate😭😭 (kind of lol) . I'm sorry (not sorry) for putting you all through that! Switching it up a bit with Tighnari's POV at the start. This one is pretty long so prepare yourselves! (Bear with me a bit longer 💕). Also I have two songs I listened to while writing this chapter that goes with Kaveh's POV ! Listen for a bit of extra angst/ mood. 1. The Greatest (Lana Del Ray). 2. Daylight (David Kushner)

Tighnari's POV

"Kaveh? Kaveh are you in there?"

I called, my voice slightly raised as I rapped my knuckles against his wooden door. No answer.

"Kaveh? Please answer me, are you in there?"

I called again, but I didn't hear an answer. I felt my ears twitch, and I looked to my right to see Alhaitham lying with his back against the wall, rolling his eyes.

"He's in there."

He hissed, nodding his head to the door.

"I don't have time for this. I only called you here because he won't come out of that room and we have to go to work. He's the Lead Architect and he needs to come to work. Honestly, I don't know what has been going on with him today. Yesterday afternoon he was acting all strange and I thought he would sleep it off, but it's the morning now and he hasn't come out. Do something."

He snapped, his eyes piercing through me as he rolled his eyes and crossed his arms to his chest. I watched as he walked away, stomping down the stairs as he ran his hand around the rail. I sighed to myself, I really didn't know what to do. The moment I came back over I knew what happened when I looked into Alhaitham's eyes. Kaveh had come to stay with me a few days, he made it seem like things between the two really were over. And then he said something about getting him back, I assumed the two had patched things up. Yet clearly that was not the case.

"Kaveh he's gone. Please let me in now."

I spoke quietly, kicking my feet gently against the door. I heard him stand up from behind the door, walking over to the door. I heard a click from the other side as he opened the door in front of me, his blonde hair filled with knots as it fell down his face. His face was bright red and puffy, he had clearly been crying for what had seemed like days.

"I thought he would never leave."

He whispered, his lips quivering so much I could barely make out his words. My heart lurched, I hated seeing him like this. Over the past few months I had come to understand Kaveh in so many different ways. He was one of the most compassionate people I had ever seen, and the universe forced him to fall in love with a man who was the complete opposite. And now he was falling apart.

"Can I come in?"

I whispered, gesturing to the open room. He slowly turned his back to look at his room, his bed was a mess and he had broken wood all over his room. The papers on his table were torn and there were clothes all over the floor. It was a complete mess, yet I had expected nothing else from him right now. He nodded slowly to me, and we walked into the room and sat down on the bed as I laid my eyes on him.

"He forgot you, didn't he? He called me over here and the moment he opened the door I saw the look in his eyes. He doesn't know anything."

"No. He doesn't."

Kaveh whispered, more tears rolling down his face as he raised his sleeve to try and wipe the tears away.

"He said something about trying to protect me. He told me he wanted me to move on, fall in love with someone who wasn't him. He told me he was never going to change and he was going to let me down every time. And then he told me he didn't want that for me. And before I could change his mind he went and forgot about me. The moment I came back for him, my boyfriend was gone and was replaced by someone who barely had any idea who I was."
