So, one of my followers, @InotSparkyXD requested this, and I took it platonically.

Anyway,

ENJOY~

Ever since Marinette had miraculously discovered her talents in fencing, she was eager to learn more, so Adrien had agreed to coach her, because they were,' good friends'. The words Marionette hated hearing so, much and wished they could be more. But Marinette's dreams were crushed when she realised Adrien was dating Kagami. She was devasted and felt betrayed when Adrien must've known she's been in love with him the whole time, but still went and dated Kagami. She despised the Japanese know-it-all, but at least she would be spending some quality time with Adrien today.

"At least I'll be seeing Adrien without Kagami today." The bluenette sighed, sketching out designs for costumes for the upcoming kitty section concert, but to no avail. She was experiencing designer's block, and almost half of her sketch pad was currently sitting in the bin, abandoned. Pencil sharpenings were scattered throughout her desk. Her walls were now so bare, but we were once plastered with dreamy images of Adrien's perfect face. She had a few pictures left, and after half an hour of glaring at his angelic face, she marched up to it, tore it down, and shredded it into tiny pieces, she threw them up in the air creating a miniature shower. "He's been so busy ever since they started dating, it's always: 'Kagami this, Kagami that.' I hate her!" She grumbled

Tiki was hovering in the air over Marinette's shoulder

"You can't hate her, she hasn't done anything."

"She stole Adrien from me." She whispered, tears prickling her eyes, and blurring her vision, so she placed her favourite drawing pencil on the page.

"It's about time you get over time, Mari. You should go after Luka instead! He likes you!"

The thought of Juleka's brother made her giggle.

"Yeah."

"You're going to be late for your fencing lesson." Her red Kwami reminded me.

"OH NO, I'M GONNA BE LATE!" The clumsy heroine gasped.

She hastily opened the zip-up and double-checked she had everything before dashing out of the door.

Kagami was annoyed with the fact that Adrien wanted Kagami to help her rival in love, Marinette. But Kagami understood the pressure of living up to your parent's expectations, it was something they both knew, and Kagami felt less alone, and it was nice. Kagami went over her stance, lunges and thrusts. She already had her fencing ensemble on. Which consisted of matching white pants and a top, and visors, to protect the face. She smiled maliciously at the thought of finally settling the score.

Upon her arrival at the school gym, Marinette's blue bell eyes met with piercing, vermillion eyes. Not even the most vicious and potent weapon could penetrate the invisible wall of rivalry.  Kagami was already dressed in her fencing lamé.

"Kagami!" She shrieked

"Marinette I suppose Adrien didn't inform you that he had to cancel today, for a last-minute photo shoot?" Kagami questioned

"No..." Marinette pulled out her phone and scanned for Adrien's latest message, and there it was.

Adrien: Hey Marinette, I had to cancel for a last-minute photo shoot, you know what fathers are like. I'll see you soon! Marinette then curled her fists around the phone and exhaled sharply.

This was meant to be Marinette spending time with Adrien, not Kagami! She pursed her lips.

"I'll be going." She stated and turned away

"You can't. Adrien asked me to help you. Thinks it'll be nice if we spend time 'bonding.'"

For Adrien, She thought.

"Alright." She agreed

"But what say you and I fight first?" She asked, drawing her foil

(A fencing blade, 500 grams and for thrusting.)

The bluenette nodded and hastily pulled on her facing lamé, and the visor for her face.

"Ready ." The tone of her voice came out a bit robotic from under the visor.

Kagami began first; and trusted her blade at the protagonist. Marinette swerved out of the way and aimed for her back. Kagami was caught off guard and growled

"Beginner's luck. I won't be going easy on you." she turned on Marinette, lashing fiercely, and nimbly. Marinette stumbled backwards and frantically attempted to defend. Kagami lunged at Marinette and charged with all the hatred flowing through her veins. Then, Marinette's grip on lamé loosened, and it went flying through the air and dropped to the ground, with a loud clank.

Kagami removed her fencing visor and clutched it in her arm, then she flashed a triumphant smirk, and Marinette grimaced under her visor. From this, Kagami was able to analyse where Marinette went wrong; her strengths and weaknesses, and how to improve.

"We'll start from the basics." The Japanese girl stated.

Kagami coached her through her stance, her grip, her techniques, and her thrusting power.

Both Marinette and Kagami were panting now and decided to end the session there. They removed their fencing gear and packed everything away. Marinette suggested visiting the ice cream parlour, and Kagami agreed. The atmosphere was humid, and their hair was plastered to their foreheads. When they arrived, their eyes widened at the glorious sight of such a variety of unique flavours, and combinations.

"I'll have the bubblegum burst, please," Marinette ordered

"And I'll have the chocolate mint mashup." The server was dressed in the uniform which consisted of a white apron and matching hat and had emerald green eyes and frizzy brown hair tied in a bun. She scooped up a scoop of their desired flavours and handed it to them, she couldn't have been much older than them.

"How much will that be?" Kagami asked, rummaging through her purse.

"No, I'll pay." Marinette insisted.

"It's on the house." She winked

"Thank you!"

As they were sitting down inside, the cool air conditions blasting at them, Marinette decided to initiate a conversation.

"I'm sorry Kagami, you're not bad." Marietta apologised first

"You aren't either, I'd like to be friends with you, even though you like Adrien."

Marinette paused thoughtfully, as she was scooping up her ice cream.

"Friends?" Marinette asked, holding out her sweaty hand from across her side of the table.

"Friends." Kagami agreed, placed her hand in the Bluenette's and the pair shared a smile.

The seemingly 'invincible' wall of rivalry began to melt away, replaced by an unknown force uniting the pair.
