Ryder's POV
Back at the hotel there's heaps of people waiting outside the building with camera's and video camera's.
The driver pulls to the side of the road and looks at the commotion. Pulling down the partition window he asks. "Do you want me to drive to the back so you can escape the circus."
A light chuckle comes from me.
Ryan leans forward. "Take us through the back. I don't want to deal with them tonight." He turns his head towards me. "Are you okay with that?"
I'd rather not deal with them.
"It's all good. All I want to do is get into our room and pack my stuff for tomorrow. I'm ready to get out of this country and have a break from touring."
The media turn towards the car. As they approach the driver pulls away and takes us around the back.
It doesn't take long before we're in a secluded parking lot. A silver handled rail leads to a door, that opens and a male sticks his head out the door.
The driver parks the car and then opens the door for us. "Thanks for letting me drive you guys around today. It was a pleasure to see you all."
Shaking his hand I say. "You're welcome. The next time we're here we'll hire you to take us around."
A smile spreads across his face. "I'd like that." He pulls a card out of his pocket and hands it to me. "It has my personal number on it."
Taking it from him. "Thanks," I look around the empty lot and then I hear someone say. "They're around the back."
Why couldn't they stay at the front? I don't want them to see me.
"Bye," I run up the stairs and into the building, where the manager is waiting. "Thanks for opening the door for us."
"You're welcome. I knew after seeing the car that you were going to pull around the back to avoid that. If you need anything tonight you can call the front desk. Just ask for Adrian."
"Will do. Thanks." I head straight for our room, without waiting for my bandmates to catch up.
When I get to the room I open the top dresser and start putting my stuff into the suitcase.
Ryan, Tyler and Kyle walk into the room. They climb on my bed and look at me. Ryan asks. "Are you okay?"
Not, really. But, I don't want them to know that.
"I'll be fine." I try to reassure them. However, I think they can see through the shit I'm trying to sell them.
Kyle shakes his head. "You're not fine. Nothing about this is fine, Ryder. We're a team and you have us. Just like we have you."
And I have Sutton. Even though she seems to be helping me from afar. I hope she will have my back when we're together again.
"Guys, can you record a video? There's something I'd like to say to Sutton."
Ryan pulls his phone out of his pocket. He counts down with his fingers. '3, 2, 1.'
Hello, Sutton.
I'm not sure if you're ever going to see this video. I'd like to start off with by saying thank you, for talking to your Lawyer friend, Callum. Who helped me out of the shitstorm that was created by a fan.I have so much to say to you. I don't know where to begin, but I will say this for now. Not one day has gone by that I haven't thought about you.
Wondering what you were up to? How the city was treating you.
My love for you never faltered. If anything it kept getting stronger. Even with all the distance between us. I will forever and always love you, Sutton.
The video cuts out and my friends jump on with asking me stuff.
Kyle smiles at me. "Aw, our boy still wants to declare his love for a woman that we haven't seen in ten years."
Tyler claps me on the back. "That beautiful speech needs to be shown to, Sutton. I'm sure she's want to leave where you left off."
Looking at him. "That's not what this is about. I want the truth to come out and that's what it's all about."
"Is that all you have to say, Ryder. Or do you want to do another video for your fans? We can post it on our band page." Ryan asks.
I might as well do something for the fans. Maybe, they will understand why I didn't stop the show to tell them about the incident.
"I'm ready for a fan video. Maybe I should do a couple."
Ryan counts down for it.
Hello, fans.
It's Ryder Sanchez. I want to thank all of you for supporting me during this trying time. It's not good when a fan makes an ugly accusation against. One that can harm your reputation and the people you care about the most. Without my family and a close friend I wouldn't be the way I am right now.
I would be in a totally different place right now. A place that I would be wallowing in and hurting people that's closest to me.
Everyone makes mistakes and that doesn't get broadcasted for the world to see. For me it did get broadcasted and I'm looking like a piece of shit, to my fans.
I thought that the band a I would be safe without extra security, but tonight proved that we need it more than we expected.
Having extra security on our case will make it a lot harder for us to meet our fans. All it takes is one person to ruin it for others.
Also, the reason why I didn't stop the show during our performance was because I didn't think something like this would happen. I've been proven wrong.
Thanks for believing in me and I will do the exact same. We'll see you soon.
This is Ryder signing off.
The video ends. "I think I've said more than enough tonight. I'm going to shower and then get ready for bed. I've had enough for the night." I kick them out of my room and grab clean clothes before walking into the bathroom.
Turning the tap on I wait for the temperature to adjust to what I like. I step inside and wash my hair and body.
Once I'm clean I get out of the shower and dry myself off. Then I get dressed into a pair of boxers and an iron man t-shirt.
Don't judge me. He's my favourite superhero. I know you have a favourite.
Turning the lights off in the bathroom I head over to bed and climb inside. I turn the light off and snuggle into the blanket. Waiting for sleep to consume me.
