Carla's POV:
Groaning, I woke up to the sound of my annoying alarm clock. I hated it. The last time I broke the stupid clock, I got grounded for a week.
I dragged myself to the shower and turned it on. I relaxed, waiting for the warm water, but I got it extra specially for me; it was freezing cold. I took a deep breath and yelled.
"Mom the hot water is used up again,"
"Sorry honey, but this wouldn't have happened if you woke your lazy ass up earlier." My sassy mom yelled back.
I rolled my eyes. Seriously, why did this have to happen on the first day of school?
Once I was done, I stood in front of the closet, shivering, looking at what to wear. First impressions meant a lot to me. I chose a pretty comfy outfit that would protect me from the harsh winter. A sage green cardigan and baggy, beige pants. Not bad, considering my horrendous taste in fashion.
I looked at the clock. Shit, I've got about 10 minutes to get to school. I rushed downstairs, grabbed an apple and kissed my mom goodbye. I slipped on my sneakers and rushed out the door.
I ran into my car and sped off towards my new school, Everton High. It was known for its drama, parties and boys. I was nervous, knowing that this school was as cliché as it could get. I think I read enough Wattpad to know what will happen. But my life isn't a book.. right?
I reached the parking lot. From the outside, the school didn't look bad, in fact it looked prestigious even. I checked my phone, 2 minutes left. You can do this, it ain't rocket science.
Okay, I wasted enough time, it was now or never. I barged through the doors and was met with a bored receptionist.
"Name?" she asked. I wondered if she got payed enough for this.
"Carla Diego Sanchez"
She looked down at her computer and gave me my timetable.
"Here you go, I have assigned Aiden Davis to escort you around the school." she drawled on, eyeing my outfit.
I inwardly rolled my eyes, I didn't like her that much, but she must not get enough money to deal with this shit.
"Do you get enough pay for this?" I accidentally asked her out loud. She narrowed her beady eyes at me.
"Yes of course I do," she snapped, "Now run along little girl."
I was mad and embarrassed, she didn't have to be so mean. I raised both of my middle fingers and flipped her off, in my mind of course. I guess she could sense my thoughts and glared at me. I got out of there, that lady was annoying.
On the other side, a tall handsome guy awaited me. Ooh some new people to mess with. This was going to be fun.
"My name is Aiden, Aiden Davis." He offered me a charming smile.
That's all I heard before someone crashed into me from behind, making my head hit the wall. I think I had a minor concussion. My vision was blurry as I stared up at the 2 faces looking down at me. Wait 2?? Where did the other boy come from? He had dark hair and forest green eyes, his jawline looked like it could cut through stone and he had an annoyed look on his face. I didn't like it, he was staring at me like I was some scum from the bottom of his shoe. I immediately cast him aside as my arch nemesis. I smirked looking up at him, he had so many fun days ahead. I really watched too much high school dramas.
"Is she crazy or something?" The new guy asked. Everything seemed too loud.
"No, she's the new girl." Aiden said, as if that explained everything.
I blacked out.
