Jae Sung's POV
"Every day it's practice, workout, practice, record, fan calls, practice, I'm so tired, can we just order food and watch a movie for once." I was sitting in my dorm with my roommate Sam, complaining yet again about our rigorous schedule.
"I know Jae, I'm tired too, but you knew this was how it was going to be." Sam reasoned, "If we want to continue gaining popularity, we have to keep working hard."
I knew he was right, our group had only debuted last year, we were a five-member boy group called super-galaxy, and our popularity was growing fast.
"If it makes you feel any better," Sam continued, "After our concert this weekend, management is giving us a full 24 hours to relax in the hotel we'll be staying in."
Sam was our leader, and always our voice of reason, without him we'd all probably end up dead in under a week. Kyu was coined as the funny member, he always had great comedic timing, but sometimes his teasing would go too far and someone would get their feelings hurt. Sujin would often be quiet, listening more than he talks, and then there is Yeong-su, our maknae who we all baby, probably too much, but he's so kind that no one ever thinks too much of it.
I flopped onto my bed and covered my head with a pillow. "Just five minutes," my words came out muffled, "and then I'll be up."
"No Jae." Sam yanked the pillow away, causing the lights to blind me, "We're supposed to do a livestream in the practice room."
I grabbed the pillow back and put it over my head again, "Just do it without me this time."
"You know we can't do that, management will scold you for sure."
I knew Sam was right, I could tell that I had been getting on our manager's nerves lately. "Fine I'm coming, but you go, I'll be there in a second."
Sam let out a sigh, "Okay, but please don't be late, I really don't want to watch you get yelled at later."
Once Sam left, I slowly rolled out of bed, reaching for a beanie to cover my hair, per management instruction. Then I put the hood on my sweatshirt up and tied the drawstrings for good measure. It was apparently crucial that I hide my new hairstyle until our next concert. I had been growing it out for awhile, and recently had streaks of red dyed into it, which I thought looked pretty cool, I just hoped my fans did too, and they probably would. It was no secret that I was the most popular member, and I was grateful, really, it just sucked on days when all I wanted was to take a nap. Once I had mentally gathered the strength to leave the cozyness of my dorm, I shuffled out to the practice room.
I arrived to find Sam talking to some of the staff, Yeong-su staring off into space, while stuffing his face with chips, and Kyu and Sujin were snuggled together watching something on Kyu's phone. Their relationship had become somewhat of a hot topic among our fans lately. Everyone knew they always had a closer relationship than the rest of the members, but now people were starting to ask if they were romantically involved. Honestly, even I didn't know, and I didn't dare ask either.
"Jae you're here, good." One of the staff whose name I couldn't remember walked over to me, "The plan is to just talk and answer fan questions, it'll be super casual, just make sure to always sound grateful, and remember, no cursing."
During our last livestream, I had accidentally let a few, "bad words" slip, and now I was never going to hear the end of it.
The staff member clapped her hands together, "Ok everyone, arrange yourselves in front of the camera, we'll be live in two minutes."
I took a seat at the end, next to Yeong-su, Sam sat in the middle, and then Kyu and Sujin remained inseparable, on Sam's other side.
"Okayyy," the staff member started, "how about we try something a little different." The staff tugged on Sam's arm so that he was now inbetween Kyu and Sujin. "Come here." she motioned for me to sit in the middle, so I was now sandwiched with Sam on my left and Kyu on my right. "Ok, now we can go live."
I watched as the little red camera light blinked on, that was my cue to turn on the charm, "Annyeonghaseyo!" I waved at the camera with both hands, trying to look cute, "Hello, welcome to our live."
"Hi everyone," Kyu said, following my lead. "We want to answer some of your questions today, so leave comments, and we'll try to answer as many as we can."
I watched as a blur of comments rolled across the monitor, they were going so quick that I couldn't even read one all the way through.
Yeong-su's eyes got wide as he slapped a hand over his mouth, "Slow down, slow down, we can't even read what you guys are saying."
At that, the comments began to trickle across the screen at a slightly slower pace.
"Ok ok," Sam squinted at the screen trying to pick a comment, "'Why is Jae-sung's hoodie like that?' Well," he said, looking back into the camera, "Jae-sung, just got a new hairstyle that he is waiting to show you guys at our concert next week."
"Oh yeah," I added jumping into the conversation, "I can't wait to show you guys, I really hope that you all will like it."
Kyu put a hand on top of my head, "It looks very sexy." He said winking at the camera.
This got a laugh from the rest of us, "Ah yes very sexy." Sam added, nudging me with his elbow.
I covered my face with my hands, trying to look shy. It was mostly an act, fanservice you could call it, but I knew it would get me brownie points with staff, and maybe a few edits online.
The rest of the livestream was pretty typical, we answered simple questions about ourselves, ignoring the more personal ones, including the many asking about Kyu and Sujin's relationship. At one point we sang happy birthday per one comment's request, and then it was time to wrap up the live.
"Ok everyone," Sam said, taking the lead, "we had so much fun talking to you guys, and remember, Super-galaxy can't shine without our stars."
"We love you stars." Yeong-su added, making finger-hearts at the camera.
I figured I should probably say something too, "Bye stars, we hope to see you at our concert!" I waved a peace-sign at the camera, and then the little red light blinked off. "Ahhh," I groaned, "I want to go to bed."
Sam laughed as he stretched to put an arm around my shoulders, "Go, get some sleep, we have a busy day tomorrow."
I closed my eyes, "Everyday is a busy day."
