Cody groaned as his comm started blaring during his sleep cycle. He reached over, grabbing it to see who wanted to go out of an airlock.
It was his batch chat, Fox ringing.Sitting up, he sighed before activating the comm. "What do you want?"
"Well, you're grumpy," Fox said.
"I'm on my way back from a campaign, sleeping when you decided to comm," Cody growled.
"Why did you ring?" Wolfie asked.
"I was also sleeping," Rex muttered.
"We will all be on Coruscant soon, and it's about time that I beat you all in a race," Fox said.
Cody groaned as the rest of the batch broke into similar groans. He shut off his comm, covering his eyes with his hand, "I can not be dealing with this while not having caff."
-----
Cody grumbled as he pushed through the gathered vode, sticking out like a sore thumb in his tunics.
"What's with the Jetii tunics?" Fox asked, crossing his arms as Cody finally arrived.
"I have not had enough caff to deal with splitting another set of blacks and then getting back to the ship in split blacks," Cody huffed, glaring over at Fox.
Fox grinned, holding up his hands in mock surrender, "easy, tooka, no need to get your fur in a twist."
He then doubled over in pain, his knees hitting the ground as his vod'ika landed a punch in his stomach. Fox coughed, "deserved that."Cody rolled his eyes, turning away from his annoying vod as Fox returned to his feet. "Who let it slip to the vode?" Cody asked, glancing at the increasing vode, hiding his wince when he noticed that a good chunk of the 212th had arrived.
Rex shrugged, "they saw a group of Commanders and just slowly gathered. It was already pretty sizable when I first arrived."
"Well, let's get this out of the way," Wolfie said.
"There is only so much time someone can distract the group before they come running," Cody said, "last time, Waxer got stuck in a vent."
"What, Tooka squad need babysitting?" Bly asked.
Cody raised an eyebrow at Bly before shaking his head, "no, Lana, Pearl, and Drake."
Rex chuckled, "I've heard they've started to cause chaos around the ship."
"Of course they are; just look at who raised them," Wolfie laughed.
"Easy wolf, wouldn't want your pack to know you have a sense of humour," Cody smirked, stepping to the side and hearing his ori'vod growl as he tackled the air instead of him.
"How about we start this race before we kill each other?" Rex suggested.
"Good, it is time someone sent you all back down to the ground," Fox grinned.
Cody snorted, "you butchered that saying."

Thorn was 100% not making sure he had at least three cameras up and recording as he checked over the sprint course again. He turned back, looking at the batch in front of him as he positioned himself not to be in the path. "Runners, on your mark."
Simultaneously, the group crouched.
"Get set!" Thorn said, raising his arms into the air. He dropped his arms, shouting, "race!"
He swore he was nearly pushed from his feet as Cody shot by him, followed by Fox. The rest of the group followed at a much more sane pace.
