Yes To Rations, No To Rations

Obi-Wan yawned, walking off to get his breakfast; he wasn't even going to try and fight Wrap's orders. He sat down after grabbing the bowl of oatmeal presented to him.

Sitting down, he saw the note attached to the lid. They were apologetic, saying that they'd run out. Opening the lid, Obi-Wan saw it was hardly half full. Sighing, Obi-Wan made a mental note to try and swallow back some rations as well.

-----

Obi-Wan winced, swallowing the last part of the ration bar. Looking around the room, he saw that most of the vode had managed to drag themselves out of their cots.
He noticed that a good few were limping, and others were holding themselves carefully. It was a rough campaign, and it hurts Obi-Wan every time to see the after-effects on the 212th and any other vode he sees.

"Have you seen the Commander, sir?" Wooley asked, sitting down opposite the General.

Obi-Wan frowned, "no, I haven't."

"He's normally out early to help," Wooley shrugged, "wondering if something happened, that is all."

Obi-Wan smiled reassuringly, "he likely just needed a lay-in." He looked at how worried Wooley looked, "I'm heading up to my office and past his quarters on the way. I'll pop in with some ration bars for him." He watched as Wooley visually relaxed and brightened up slightly.

"Thank you, sir!" Wooley grinned.

-----

Obi-Wan waited a little longer, chatting with his Ghosts before excusing himself. He grabbed some rations before leaving to fulfil what he said he would do. He was relaxed, taking his time before he got closer to the officer's level, feeling how Cody's signature was different.
Almost like he was trapped in a dream or nightmare.

He hurried the pace, startling the vode as he went past them. The lift would have felt too slow, so instead, he went up the ladders taking them in bounds.

The closer he got, the more confused and distressed Cody's signature felt. He hurried, not wanting Cody trapped in a nightmare longer than he had to be.

He was thankful that Cody hadn't chosen to sleep in the nest room last night; he was sure the kittens would have been distressed, likely smelling Cody's confusion in the air.

He barged into the room, the door snapping closed with a hiss behind him. He froze, staring at a very much awake Cody.
Obi-Wan looked closer, noticing how little Cody reacted to him coming into the room so suddenly and how his eyes looked unfocused. He chuckled with a smile, realising what was going on.

"Has Commander Tooka made their first appearance?" Obi-Wan asked softly, moving forwards until he could rest a hand lightly on Commander Tooka's cheek. He smiled as Commander Tooka leaned into it, lightly purring. "Have you had anything to eat?"

She looked up at the other, grinning before leaning further into the hand, closing her eyes as she purred.

"Oh, we're caught deep in instinct, darling, aren't we?" Obi-Wan smiled, catching Commander Tooka's trade of thought. He reached into his belt and pulled out a ration bar; he unwrapped it before presenting it to her. "Can you eat this?"

She opened her eyes, staring down at the item being presented. She looked up again at the other, shaking her head before closing her eyes again.
That item was clearly not food.

Obi-Wan frowned, lightly rubbing his thumb against Commander Tooka's cheek as she made a noise of discomfort - likely realising that wasn't the answer he was looking for. He pulled his hand back, watching as Commander Tooka opened their eyes again to watch him before breaking a chunk of the ration bar.
