hey guys back with another Wattpad story review

Title- The CBI officers Wife (Mature)

The story is based on the life after marriage between Mithra and Dhruv. How they first meet to how they end up getting married is a rollercoaster itself. The story consists of 49 parts and it should take too long to finish reading. let's break this story down bit by bit.

The introduction to the character was simple and clear. Dhruv is a CBI officer and Mithra is a doctor. The first few chapters had minimal characters and just gave us an insight into Dhruv and mithra's lives and how they ended up getting married. In this process, we meet a new character called Jagan. Jagan plays a major role later on in the story. On one side, we get to witness the love between Dhruv and Mithra, and on the other hand, we see Dhruv cracking a particular case. I think that Dhruv's character was very real and common. he wasn't the perfect husband at all times and he had some flaws as well. Mithra was a person who took decisions very quickly and was highly driven by her emotion in my opinion. Their love story was not perfect but it was not toxic either like other stories I have read on Wattpad. some stories nowadays really justify toxic relationships and I was glad that this story didn't. However, there were some places where Dhruv slapped Mithra in anger which could have been avoided in my opinion. The story does look at mature themes and shows us raw intimacy between the characters. Looking at the investigation side, we see a very intense case being led by Dhruv and we get introduced to more insightful characters. we then get introduced to kadhambari. A character that I found very intriguing. The way she had to get married was mortifying and extremely toxic but she had no choice. she was in a state where she couldn't even commit suicide. if I was in kadhambari's state, there was no way I would have married him but that's just me. I never understand the kidnapper-to-lover trope...... it's just so toxic and absurd! would you really fall in 'love' with your kidnapper?

Moving on to the final few chapters. The final few chapters look at abortion. So in my opinion Mithra shouldn't have received hate for what she did. at that moment she didn't trust her companion and took that decision over her body. her body her rights. I am in the UK currently and I've grown up with the concept that abortion is a right, it's not something to be ashamed of. I think that it's okay to get an abortion if you feel like you can not raise a child at that time. Yes, it kills a life but what's the point of having the child and then regretting it? it would make the child feel bad as well. Yes, she should have talked to Dhruv and talked through things but she wasn't in a state to trust Dhruv then. anyways, the story ends in an unpredictable way. In my opinion, the ending felt a bit rushed. it could have slowed down a bit and let us process the information over a couple of chapters. other improvements? In some instances, I found Mithra being too clingy, and it always portrayed for women to be like that so maybe Mithra could have been a bit less clingy to Dhruv. Also, a place where I got confused was when Dhruv discovers Ashwin is a playboy due to the discovery of a photo where he is surrounded by girls. But that was never explained or maybe I missed it.

some theories I had....what if Ashwin was actually bad? what if Mithra really did have an abortion?

then again, this is just my opinion and I don't mean to offend or hurt anyone.

I personally enjoyed reading this a lot, maybe a few tweaks would have enhanced it more but overall not bad!
